My husband and I went to MJ’s Tin Box Cafe to try the food since they had gotten such high reviews. We were not disappointed. We shared chicken spaghetti, broccoli rice casserole, sweet carrots, jalapeño cornbread and a side salad because we knew we wanted to try their dessert. Speaking of dessert, chocolate Mayo cake, strawberry cake filled with dunkaroo(rainbow chip frosting), and strawberry heaven. Yes three desserts because we just couldn’t think about trying all 10 that they had. Go check them out. You will not be disappointed.

OMG! Can I say it was like going to my Grannies house for lunch? It was super delicious and plentiful. We ended up taking almost a whole plate home with us. Everything was homemade, and the coconut cream pie was outta this world. If you’re in the area and want some REAL home style cooking then this would be for you.

Menu changes everyday. The best thing about this place at first glance is the patronage between folks when you walk in. The lighting is nice, and it smells very clean. Restrooms are very very clean. My waitress was kind and caring as well as informative that they are open for mostly lunch hours and one evening a week when it warms up outside. There’s a tea kettle on every table. The second best thing after sitting down is the roll I got with my entree they brought it out steaming hot before my meal. My meal came less that 3 mins later followed by 3-4 checks on me which I enjoyed. There was almost no waiting during my visit. They do take cards, and cash.
