When we arrived there were soooo many people. It was unreal. There was quite a wait due to how many people showed up- but by the holy ghost- it was so worth. Everything looked and smelled divine. As a Midwestern born and raised- they definitely call it soul food for a reason- because my soul was definitely wined and dined and taken to the next level. Prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. The pork steak is delectable and all of the sides are cooked and seasoned to perfection. The only thing I needed was a little salt because im a salty gal, but the flavors were beautiful. Truly a work of art- go check these folks out!!!

The Burgers are delicious and the Fries are good too. The fried chicken is good, but it is a bit pricey for all dark meat I thought. Mac n cheese is sooo yummy!! The menu doesn’t consist of many sides or choices but the food we did have was delicious. The employees are kind and provided good service.

We had the daily special which it was fried chicken and 2 sides. Me and my husband got all different sides so we could tried them all and shared! The food was amazing and so much food! Yesterday in Lincoln, food truck was open from 2 pm to 10 pm. Me and my two neighbors decided to support the business by buying food. We put our order in a total of 74.00 three orders. 5:20 was when we ordered. It took until 5 mins to 7pm when all our orders were handed to us. Other’s who come after us, got their orders before us. Still a wait.
There should be a time limit no longer than 10 to15 minutes waiting for your food. Also, let customers know if their food would take longer than that.
My fish was chewy and fries over cooked. I couldn’t tell or taste if it really was Catfish.

The food is so delicious. The wings mild sauce is unique in the best way. I can’t wait to go back for more. It is very down to earth, comfortable, and amazing. I will be back on a regular basis!
Service was great. The owners and waiters are very respectful. They get extremely busy around dinner. With the food all being homeade some things take longer but it is worth any amount of time.

The food was absolutely delicious! The fried chicken was about the best I’ve had in Lincoln. The service was a bit haphazard; or party had at least three different servers over the course of our meal (all of whom were very friendly), but they were quite busy. Overall a great experience. Can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes.

Best catfish I have had in a long long time. Tender and flakey. Mac and cheese as a side was also very good. Everyone in our group of 8 was very happy with their food, especially the chicken and waffles. Service was informal but good for such a large group. May need to bring your patience with you. Owner James is very friendly as was the rest of the staff. Would definitely recommend. Great addition to Lincoln!

Food was good but the wait was horrible! Online the restaurant was described as a “quick bite” but it couldn’t be farther then that. It took 50 minutes to revive our food. I ordered the “Southern Style Greasy cheese Burger” that was 12 bucks. The burger wasn’t bad but for that price I would go to Honest Abe’s who probably make the best burgers in the Lincoln Area. Overall not a bad restaurant but there prices and Especially!, there wait time has to come down.

Wow! I ordered 4 different meals for a family birthday dinner with 4 adults and 2 children. All of us tried and loved every entree and side dish, and 1/3 of it was left over. This is a very small family business; they don’t have the systems, staff, and technology that chain restaurants do. Your patience and flexibility will be rewarded when you eat these richly flavored, aromatic, satisfying dishes. We’ll be back!
