I have a recording studio nearby and I wanted something new. I went to this restaurant and I was absolutely blown away. Then setting and the vibe was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant. Not only can you enjoy a unique dining experience but while you wait for food you could go on the beach, play games, go to the bar, etc. there was so many options and all sounded absolutely wonderful. The cocktails were absolutely delicious not too strong they were a perfect blend. The sushi was absolutely amazing and other food items were beyond expectations. I will absolutely be returning to this establishment with my colleagues!

I’ve been to MJ’s in Bayville a few times now — probably four times total — and it’s always a nice experience. The service is consistently good, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is great. It’s a nice spot for a casual business meeting or just to relax by the water.
Parking can get a little busy at times, but you can usually still find a spot. The sushi and food are okay — not bad, just not amazing — but everything else about the place makes up for it. Overall, a solid restaurant with great vibes and good service. I’d recommend it.

My grandmother and I went for dinner on a Saturday around 5pm. Not too busy, great waterfront views from almost anywhere in the restaurant!
The food was just okay. We ordered Drunken chicken parm, Wings, Meatball sliders, and mozzarella sticks. The pasta was mushy and the salad dressing was more like a paste? I also ordered a drink (Melon Mojito) and it did not come to the table until after both the appetizers and the main course.

We always like.going to MJ’s on a nice evening for a place to eat outside.
Food and drinks were served quickly. Waitress was attentive. They had nice acoustic music in the evening after we were finishing dinner.
Plenty of food options for kids. Have a nice beach right next to outdoor dining for kids to play and are safe/nearby.

I just recently moved into the area and already have eaten here twice with friends. Food, cocktails and service exceptionally excellent Atmosphere with the view of the bay is absolutely beautiful when you dine here Even took a walk on the small dock after we finished eating which was breathtaking. Local patrons sitting at bar very friendly too. We will be back many times and I am looking forward to the summer months when we can dine outside in their seating area by the bay to try more of their delicious menu!!!

So today I am at MJ‘s restaurant, bar and Grill in Bayville, New Jersey for lunch with a friend. This building is located right on the bay, on a clear day. It would’ve been much prettier, but heavy ground fog was hanging around everywhere.
I had never been here before and told the sushi was the best in that area so me and my friend Bob decided to go there for lunch. He had been there many times and highly recommended it. The only issue was that the sushi part doesn’t open until 4 PM and it was just noon when we got there.
So it ended up being a really nice hamburger for me, and chicken wings for Bob, which looked absolutely great, and he says they are very good there.
The service is stuck out the young man who is the server was on the spot didn’t bother us. We were there for three hours, talking and catching up. It had been nearly 20 years since we had seen each other and it was amazing how we took off just as we did Back then. The atmosphere was light for a lunch crowd, so nobody was chasing us out the door for a spot, so our server came around when he thought we needed something he was perfect absolutely perfect and that would be the highlight of this meal. Cause good service is not, easy to find.

I’m coming back for the sushi and I think the rating is going to go way up. And I can say that was the only thing that I could complain about, but if we had searched it, we would’ve known 4 o’clock with sushi hour. That was on me.
Yes, I’m coming back here, not sure when but I think pretty soon I’ll add anything to this review but it was nice I can see how when that place is packed it’s pretty big and the noise level of my climb drastically but I still don’t think you’d have any problem hearing each other across the booth.
Give it a try, I recommended, and that’s only by having a burger but man and wings look good. Please like if you enjoy the review. Thanks.

Just went here to finally try that sushi that they didn’t have available at lunch because they start serving at 4 PM. Well this was a Wednesday and we go inside and yet again the sushi bar is closed, had no idea they weren’t open on Wednesdays. I should read some of these reviews sometimes lol
So we left and my friends knew of another place for sushi and that review is coming soon, but let’s just say the sushi was very good and their drink sucked but back to MJ’s.
So this trip was less than 10 minutes and we sadly left to find food elsewhere, but I don’t know if that changes my review or not, a little research and we wouldn’t have had that issue. We could’ve gone another night. I can’t blame the restaurant for that , although it’s sad that they’re closed in the very middle of the week when I would think they’d make a fortune.
So someday I hope to give you a sushi review look for my next review coming soon. Please thumb up if this is helpful thanks.

What a fabulous view of the water! Very good food served in a relaxed atmosphere. We ordered the fish and chips. Also had the shrimp wrap with homemade chips. Both were delicious! Our server Stacey was awesome!
Did I mention the view?!!! Can’t wait to go back!

I have never had a bad experience at MJs. The service is friendly and fast even when understaffed and busy. The wings are large and flavorful and the entrees were perfectly cooked and tasty. Would rate 6 stars if I could.

Second time coming here and the food is as good as last year if not better. Absolutely delicious and fresh seafood. Great pasta and nice selection of beers. This place is a must eat at. Definitely on our list as part of our shire trip
