This photo is of the mens room. How do the cooks wash their hands? Ordered beef tacos and they were cold with barbecue sauce on them. Yuck. The grilled chicken salad we ordered with no onion and it was full of diced onions and no cucumbers or croutons. The bartender did not even stop by to check on us, but did comp all of our food. After traveling all day it was not what we wanted to sit down to. Won’t be back.

My family and I ordered takeout dinner from this restaurant. We placed our order online and went to the restaurant to pick it up.
They told us it would be ready within 15 minutes. It took a while longer than 15 minutes; however, we did enjoy the food. Food was satisfying and tasty. If you are looking for a lot of wings, you’ll need to order more than 1 pound. Otherwise, the portions were OK. The cost was not too bad either.

This restaurant has the opportunity to rebrand and really pop with the number of new residents in LC. They need to consider the reviews and make changes in my opinion. Maybe hire younger, in neighborhood kids and experienced management. I know that stuff costs but I’m sure with support that can do it. Market to Lake Carolina exclusively. Hell I’ll even help. I dislike my recent experiences here but I see potential for better.

HORRIBLE! Living in Lake Carolina, MJ’s used to be a nice local pub – no longer! Service had been going down hill, but this evening set an all time low of any restaurant experience- EVER!! We went in, no host/hostess so we grabbed a table by the bar as it wasn’t too busy- about 5:15pm. 20 minutes later the one server seemed over his head so the bartender finally came out to get our drink order and returning with those fairly quickly, took our food order. 25 minutes later, the server finally came by to tell us they had live music tonight and we needed to move somewhere else – now! Nothing polite, just move. Didn’t know we’d ordered food, that it should have been out, or that our drinks were now empty – jut move out of the way for the entertainment to get set up.
Horrible service, cancelled the food and went to another restaurant where they like customers.

Me and my coworker ordered burger meals from here. The burgers were good but the 5-6 sweet potato fries I received was shocking. So I paid over $15 for a burger and less than a handful of fries??? Then they seemed shocked that we questioned it. It was my first time eating from here & sadly I won’t return.

I was excited to see this restaurant open in my neighborhood. Since i dont really cook having a local spot to goto to grab a meal really appealed to me. I like the atmosphere of MJs. It has sportsbar feel with the multiple tvs. The wait staff were very friendly and very helpful. My daughter and i both ordered the grilled wings and they were awesome. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu. At the moment they are only serving beer and wine but im hoping they get a full bar soon. If they do get a full bar i will be there multiple times per week as they are located within walking distance from where i live.

So, it was all pretty good, but you owe it to yourself to come try the fried banana peppers the next time they are a special. All the flavor of fried pickles with none of the soggy. I don’t know who came up with that one, but they deserve a raise.

Recently stopped by MJ’s for lunch. Had their Chorizo Tacos on corn tortillas and they were so dang good. You get 3 Tacos, chips and salsa. Great food , and price is very reasonable. The chips were a little salty but the salsa helped tone it down. I didn’t care for the pineapple salsa that was listed to be on taco so I had them put on side when ordering. I sat on patio and service good. I wish the Chorizo Tacos was an item on the menu all the time, not just a special here and there. I went back the next day and ordered again bcs I like them so much. I went back the 3rd day but it was not on the menu that day so I ended up getting chicken tacos and they were good too! Please add Chorizo Tacos to your regular everyday menu please and thank you !

Food: not good and very basic, one meal never came out… said they forgot to start it with the other meals. Asked for a salad without cheese and the bottom of my salad was all blue cheese. Long wait for food when it wasn’t busy.

I’ve been here three times, and I’ll never go back. I wanted it to be better each time… but they definitely let me down. The service is fine, the food is the problem. Last time I went I got the Philly and it was dry, overcooked and lacking ingredients. Today I got sliders and they were burnt, dry and my buns were all charred. Please do better. I tried to contact them on social media… but I got no response.
