12/5/2025 I had the Walleye lunch. Which is 5 pieces of fish and bread. Cole slaw you had to buy separately. The fish was not done and the portion size was smaller than a pen. The Cole slaw smelled awful and looked old. The other two orders we had was the same way. I had to trash it in fear that I would get food poisoning. No I didn’t return the food because the rest of the order was bad and fearful of getting the same thing again. MJ’s has really fallen off. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to eat here.

A Poor Boy on a pita is a nice touch. The fried shrimp are outstanding as well. Only seven tables, but some of them are longer, community tables, so it’s as much a social experience as a dining experience. The place was already full at 4:30 on a Friday, and parking is very limited.

Delicious fried chicken! $15 Came with 4 pieces of chicken (leg, breast, wing and thigh) cole slaw and fries. Building didnt look great on the outside, but we tried it anyway. Definitely glad we did.
