Clever Name
The food was very solid, especially the tomato basil soup; quite flavorful and had nice texture too. The comfort combo of grilled cheese and soup was great, and the BLTA had nicely toasted bread. Service was good too.

This cafe has such a vibrant atmosphere. The energy is contagious and put me in a great mood. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations. From the moment I arrived until I left, I felt welcomed and pampered by the food and the service. You do not often find a place where every element comes together so perfectly. I highly recommend it!

Very convenient if you work in the area but something is up with the food qaulity. I hadn’t been here roughly a year and experienced the same…harsh reminder on why I stopped eating here. For some reason the food makes me go the restroom…bubble guts. It happened months back every now an then hence why I stopped eating here and again today. Why did I come back? It was pouring rain and had a meeting after lunch I didn’t want to be late for. In talking to others, two of the four mentioned the same. The food made them feel terrible .

Three star review today. One star for reasonable prices, one for surviving the shutdowns, and one for convenience/friendly staff. I would have given a 4th for overall decent food, but their chicken noodle soup’s noodles were as mushy as the carrots – and overall, much too salty. No real dimension to the flavor. After the microwave killed my “lean cuisine” lunch (which the manufacturer didn’t seal properly), I thought MJ’s would be an improvement. I’ll never order their chicken noodle soup again. The tomato soup and chili are good enough to eat, as are all the other menu offerings I’ve tried. The choc chip cookies are surprisingly good and the baked potato is worth a try. Otherwise, I eat here for convenience and the price point. Really disappointing soup today, though.

Best chilly beans soup ever! I was referred to this place by the hotel front desk clerk, and boy, was I glad! I had a BLTA sandwich as well. The food was amazing! Reasonably priced, taking the geographical location into consideration. The staff was very friendly. Highly recommended! Will go back there the next time I’m in the area for sure!!

Never been to MJ’s. Walked in, asked for their best sandwich and I wasn’t disappointed. The sandwich was a healthy portion and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My only regret was not knowing what it was that they surprised me with. Guess I’ll have to go back again to find out.
