Mizuya in Norwood never misses. The sushi is always fresh, loaded with flavor, and plated like something you actually want to take a picture of. The spicy salmon roll I had was perfect; balanced heat, great texture, and super clean presentation.
But the real reason this place stands out is Angela, the owner. She’s genuinely one of the best in the business. Her hospitality is unmatched and she remembers people, makes everyone feel welcome, and runs the bar with the kind of energy that makes you want to stay for “one more.”
Between the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere she creates, Mizuya has the best bar vibe in town. Whether you’re grabbing sushi solo, out with friends, or bringing a date, this place delivers every time.
Easily one of Norwood’s gems. Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience this evening here at Mizuya! I came on a Wednesday night and I was very pleased. Although I’m sure it wasn’t their usual peak hours, there was a decently sized crowd in the restaurant. The waiters/staff were so kind & welcoming, very attentive, and my solo dinner experience a very comfortable one. The food was great! I really enjoyed the fried pork gyozo, the shrimp tempura, and my mango fruit tea. The food came out nice and fresh and not too hot and had such great taste. I also had strawberry mochi – which was delicious! If you’re looking for a nice bite with a wonderful atmosphere do come here!

My girlfriend and I have been here multiple times now, and it never misses! It has quickly become one of our favorite go-to spots in Norwood.
The food is consistently high quality, but the pork buns are a absolute must-order every single time—they are incredible. We also love the sushi here; the fish is always fresh, and the pricing is really reasonable for the quality you get.

Delicious! Sushi to share (they customized my roll to my liking), Miso Ramen and a rice bowl. Yum!

First time here, we were in the mood for Asian fusion and it exceeded our expectations! The soup dumplings and the spicy garlic edamame were my favorite and my fiancé loved the chicken garlic stir fry. Also the hot and sour soup is perfect for a cold night. Service was exceptional, bartender did not steer us wrong with any food or drinks we ordered. We will definitely be back and often!

Wife and I went here for supper on a Sunday and spent including tip $71 drinking water. Price wise sushi is comparative to a lot of higher end restaurants in the area but there is cheaper and there are not a lot of ramen places you can really compare it too. The place was dead and it had a funky smell in it maybe because the pond was drained. My wife had the Maki while I ate the nigiri. She really enjoyed hers mine was fine I have had better but it was not bad. For mains I had tonkatsu ramen and she had chicken katsu ramen. I did warn her that it does not make sense to have fried chicken in ramen as it will get soggy, sure enough it did which is her own fault I do not blame the restaurant for. However, the chicken was also “woody” which made it pretty much inedible. The noodles were pretty good for both bowls. The dashi was lacking flavor. Both bowls were luke warm at best not hot at all the pork in mine was also a little rubbery. Almost like they reheated it. For the price I was not impressed I may try it again on a busier night when I could have a fresher bowl of ramen.
TLDR: Food not impressive but not bad go on a busy night to get fresher tasting. Prices is on the higher side.
