I have reviewed over 100 sushi restaurants. This place is a 5. The fish was very fresh. Very Thick cut sashimi/Nigiri, no skimping here. Well executed rolls. Son had fried rice and it was high quality chicken prob breast meat, fresh veggies. Nothing was amiss and the service was awesome. Definitely coming back anytime I am in Holland.

Hidden gem in Holland! Did not expect the sushi to be as good as it was! Everything tasted fresh and was prepared very well. Was a busy night and came an hour before close but got seated right away. Good server who gave us roll recommendations. The restaurant can get quite packed with tables close together but all in all it was an excellent dining experience! Will definitely be back!

When I moved to Michigan I was worried that my days of having decent sushi were over, but Mizu really pulled through for me. They have some really good stuff and a fairly diverse menu for a sushi place. We get the crab rangoon every time we go, and I’m excited to keep going there and trying more foods on their menu.
The prices can be a little high, especially considering that it’s American Sushi and not ‘really’ Japanese Sushi, but I sort of chalk that up to it being on 8th street. The atmosphere is also a little lacking as it feels like an industrial building with Japanese deco on the walls rather than a Japanese restaurant. Regardless, I will be going back whenever I get a craving for crab rangoon or some california rolls.

Solid presentation, but didn’t deliver on taste the way I wanted. This could be because while I was visiting I had to drive roughly 30 mins home before I could eat and the fish was definitely more room temperature and the taste/texture was a bit more off putting to what I’m used to.
That being said at the very least they are a good bargain. $12-$14 special roll pricing is fantastic.
I hope I can come again and sit down to eat, because with the reviews of this spot I might have come at an off day!

I’ve been to Mizu Sushi a few times now, and they’ve usually done a good job. The food has always been good, and the sushi combination was both filling and delicious. They didn’t skimp on the tobiko, and the nigiri sushi tasted great. There was a good variety of fish in the combo. Service was good this time, but it can get slow when they’re busier. The place looks pleasant. I’d definitely consider this one of the best Asian restaurants in Holland.

Went here for dinner with my team. It was not super busy but we got seated right away. The staff was around but not super available. I went up front to request things a couple times because we could not find the waitress. Overall the experience was nice. Food is reasonably priced and tasty and the portions are good. I liked their hot tea. I did not do sushi this time, but I can say the chicken, shrimp, and tempura dishes were all well received. Their rice was.great. I will be happy to go back and try their sushi next time, it looks popular.
