Mizu Japanese Steak House in Middletown is a fun lively spot that works really well for groups and celebrations. The hibachi experience is entertaining with plenty of fire tricks jokes and action at the grill which keeps everyone engaged from start to finish.
The food itself is good and hits all the classic hibachi expectations. Portions are generous and everything comes out hot and satisfying which is exactly what you want in this type of setting.
One thing to know ahead of time is that they will not split checks. It is not a deal breaker but it is something to plan for especially if you are dining with a larger group.
Overall Mizu is a solid choice if you want dinner and a show in one place. Go with friends come hungry and make sure you have a plan for the bill before the chef starts cooking.

Had a really nice time here for a family birthday dinner. Food was good, a little over priced but good. Our chef was fun and energetic. Servers were nice and prompt. Only negatives were they messed up two of the kids orders by not keeping the noodles and chicken plain. Also they promised the kids balloon animals but that never happened. Overall if you’re craving hibachi Mizu will scratch that itch.

I typically avoid hibachi because I had bad experiences. This was definitely better across the board. Food was great and the service was quick hibachi guy was friendly and helpful. They made a mistake on getting noodles for me and wife and corrected it instead of charging for their mistake since she ordered rice.

Overall my evening spent at Mizu was pretty decent. They offer habachi as well as dinner (sushi, miso soup etc.) It is a very large restaurant. The servers were fairly helpful and attentive. But it was very loud because of the habachi side, and didn’t spend to much time “dining” but rather hearing people yell with excitement. It could be fun, if thats what you are going for but there is not much elegance/peace to this restaurant. The sushi was good, though i had a shrimp shell which didn’t both me but still. Miso soup was tasty but small, yet since it’s a side i can understand that. I have to say, the salad was incredible! Not going to lie, probably the best salad dressing i’ve ever had. I also ordered a pina colada but couldn’t drink much because it wasn’t blended well. I’m being critical only to inform others of my experience! It was good however, price is right, i’d go again.

KiKi is so great she always remembers my sister and I. We love coming here for the hibachi & sweet potato rolls with the yum yum sauce. Their hibachi soup & salad is also the best I’ve had. Would definitely recommend this place for lunch or a family hibachi night!
