We were in the area so we decided to stop in for some sushi!
We were in time to get some items off the happy hour menu, which was nice.
My husband liked his drink. We tried two rolls, I don’t remember what they were called, but both were good! I also really liked the steamed buns. I got the shrimp tempura and my husband got the pork belly. The bun was so soft and delicious!
I got the crispy rice flight which was good! And my husband got a rice bowl that was tasty!

Went out with my girlfriend it was a Friday night about 6pm we were lucky to be able to get two seats at the bar. It can be iffy. Service was good. I had the ol fashioned with Japanese whisky which was tasty my girl the margarita I believe. We ordered the special pork belly curry ramen which was fantastic! Very good sushi, service and atmosphere. Have gone multiple times on multiple occasions and it’s our go to spot to take friends/family. Everyone we take is always highly impressed.

We dined here for our anniversary and found it to be just ok.
We found the prices to be slightly too high compared to the quality of the sushi and other food. We didn’t have any bad food, we just weren’t blown away by any of our dishes.
Our server was nice but we only saw her a couple times throughout the night.
Overall, we will probably explore other options in White Bear Lake before returning to Mizu.

I love the vibe of this place, and it’s a perfect spot for summer.
Sitting outside, watching people, the lake, cars, and music goes on is an incredible night.
Staff were nice, friendly, helpful, and were able to provide details of drinks and food, plus she checked on us consistently. Appreciated that.

I can not praise this restaurant enough. I recently went for the first time, and everything was amazing. Our server, Matt, was phenomenal. He checked in on us frequently and was extremely professional and friendly. Our waters remained full (thank you to the young lady who kept filling my water, haha). Everything tasted amazing. I went with a couple of basic Californian rolls, but I can safely say they are the best I’ve ever had. Thank you to everyone who made the experience so wonderful. I will definitely be back to visit soon!

I am celiac and the majority of their menu is gluten free or can be made gluten free (they can replace tempura shrimp with regular shrimp) and they only use tamari soy sauce. We had a variety of sushi rolls and kimchi pork. It was all really good! The server we had was incredibly knowledgeable and I felt safe ordering with no reactions. The menu is not marked as gluten free but the servers know the few things that are not gluten free.

I was shock to see this restaurant only has 4.4 stars. I’ve been coming here with my family for several years now and the food is amazing. The venue is super cute and the service is prompt. The chefs are personable and knowledgeable and the sushi rolls are great. Plus looking out at the lake, what more could you want?

I enjoyed my experience at Mizu very much. I recently moved here from California and I was in search of something that took me back and the tonkatsu ramen and firecracker roll really did that for me. Thank you chefs and staff I’ll be back!

Mizu Japanese is a must-visit in White Bear Lake, consistent, fresh, flavorful sushi and a serene outdoor seating area. The staff both front and back of house clearly take pride in their work, excellent service and quality with every visit. While the sushi is great, don’t overlook the fried rice and yakisoba they’re arguably the best things on the menu. Mizu is a local gem we are lucky to have in White Bear.
