Loved the great customer service and professional experience here.
We have tried the hibachi grill with an amazing chef. Truly made our birthday celebration a great experience.

Tonight I dined myself on Sushi and sashimi.
Met the Sushi Master Frank. He knows the best quality to offer and serve. His prep and presentation just adds to the experience.

Love the customer service / outgoing staff.
Offered great suggestions and working multiple tables…but I felt she continued to check on me for anything needed.

Great quality and selections.
Definitely a must stop for Sushi and Sashimi lunch or dinner’s.

Great job team Miyako

Came here with my husband and enjoyed our meal. The sushi was nice and fresh, sushi rice had good texture and stuck together, and our appetizers were good as well. The service could be improved upon. Our waitress was very interested in another guest , and other servers and one of the sushi chefs were kinda huddled around this person. I wouldn’t have minded too much, but we waited a while for food and drink refills. Overall, I would recommend this place for the food as the sushi was quite tasty!

We stopped here for lunch after church and were disappointed overall. I ordered the teriyaki steak dinner, and my son had a single sushi roll and Japanese soup. The sushi was $17, and the soup—basically canned chicken broth with a single mushroom—was $4, which felt excessive. My meal came to nearly $19 and sadly didn’t live up to the price.

The steak was tender but lacked flavor, and everything tasted pretty bland, even when I tried mixing items together. The presentation and taste just weren’t memorable. My son’s sushi looked unevenly cut, with thin, inconsistent slices, and the sauce looked like melted crayons. He said it was just “okay.”

We also found it not very gluten-free friendly. They wouldn’t modify the fried rice to be made without soy sauce – sounded like they have it premade in batches. [They did tell me that the only option would be white steamed rice and no sauce on anything. So if you want absolutely tasteless food there’s the gluten-free option. Lol]

Overall, this place feels overpriced for the quality and portions. We likely won’t return.

Finally made a trip back to Miyako after being away from some years. The great thing about it, nothing has changed. Still amazing food, amazing service, and great chefs. Frankie, Wilson, and the crew are consistent every time.

Loved my experience here. Tiffany was an excellent server, very polite, friendly and professional. Food was good. I ordered shrimp tempura bento and fried ice cream that I’ve never tasted before. It was unusual but good.
Place is very cozy, has two separate rooms for regular and hibachi dining. Wasn’t too busy, very clean and had lights dimmed down, which gave it a very relaxing feel. Music was also very soothing and pleasant to the ear.
It’s a but hidden off of the busy highway strip but definitely worth a visit or two 🙂

Our favorite Japanese restaurant in town, we do come quite often so had tried several sushi and sashimi options. They do offer hibachi also in a separate room, what is nice because it’s a complete different atmosphere. Rattlesnake and the caterpillar rolls are probably our favorite rolls but this time we ordered the boat and it didn’t disappoint us. Service is usually quick.

Did take out twice at this place and our last.. we received a small bowl of fried rice, maybe 6 pieces of cut up chicken, a side of salad, side of basically another salad with cucumbers and carrots then soup totaling $21.

Not enough food for the price and maybe this is how they do it for take out but unacceptable.

I lucked out today as I came to restaurant through my work as I work as a technical advisor for plumbing manufactures and was asked to review a hot water heater installation in the kitchen. As I am sure you can image I have been in many commercial kitchens and I have never eaten anywhere after having seen the kitchen area. This was the exception. I was so impressed with how every little nook and cranny of the kitchen was clean and smelled good. You can tell when someone takes pride in their business. I chatted with the owner Wilson for a bit and I was impressed with his level of commitment to providing fresh high quality food. You can tell when he speaks that he is passionate about quality even commenting how “he would never use frozen peas” I laughed inside a bit because you would think that frozen peas are not that big of a deal, but that goes to show the level of detail put into the food. I was just about to leave when I thought to myself I cant pass up the oportunity to eat lunch while there as I live almost 2 hours away.
I am a bit of a foodie and have been disappointed in recent years in the quality and service provided by most restaurants. Miyako was certainly NOT one of them. The food was fresh and flavorfull and Chelsea my server was exceptional. I had a bento box and some tempora shrimp and although it was simple fair, nothing ornate or elaborate, it was delicious, and well presented. Often times, simple well prepared food is best. And if you like flashy, the sushi at the table next to me looked like art on a plate. The atmosphere was wonderfull and I could not have asked for a better experience. And if anyone is wondering if this is a biased review, no my lunch was not comped nor would I ever want or expect that from a hardworking business owner. I dont often write reviews unless something is exceptionally good, and this was exceptionally good. I already told my wife and sister that we are going to be making the almost 2 hour drive 1 way soon for a long overdue evening out. The fact that they have been in buisness for 20 some odd years should indicate that they are doing it the right way. Times are hard for everyone out there and if you are going to spend your hard earned money on a meal out, spend it here and get something quality. Keep up the good work Miyako

Absolutely not impressed. We’ve been to dozens of hibachi and this was by far the worst experience. The show, was not a show; the cher only cooked the food in front of us. The only conversation was confirming the steak cook. No volcano, no train, no egg tricks; just simply cooked and left. Food was nothing special, cooked fine, did lack flavor, and no yumyym sauce, teriyaki was only offered after asking for it. We personally will not be returning, but I encourage you to seek your own opinion.
