Stop by for the convenient storefront, come back again and again for the top tier sashimi and understated but excellent hospitality. All our rolls and nigiri were mmmmmmm good. I have not been to Japan, but my companion has. Our meal was competitive on flavor and quality, and right here in Capitola. You know how miso soup can be a forgettable way to wait for your meal? Not here. Subtle and flavorful, make sure you enjoy some along with a memorable taste of Japan.

Fast, fresh, and tasty Japanese cuisine. Greatt if you are in need a quick bite that is high quality. I was there for 30 minutes and was able to enjoy a miso soup and bento box. Would return.

Our first visit, the service was decent and the food was delicious. Most items were served quickly although the lion roll took quite a long time after everything else was served, even though the restaurant was relatively empty. I visit again

The food is good, but I have to say I’m not sure if it’s the owners but they like to hover over you when you eat. It’s very uncomfortable and strange.
I think they’re weirded out by a single woman by their self probably won’t be back.

A pearl hidden away.. The place Is surrounded in darkness from the outside but once you’re inside the light engulfs the place and brings a cozy atmosphere to the room. The room itself has simple decor that gives it a nice feel.
The waiter and waitress were patient and thoughtfull when presented with questions regarding the sushi. Shortly after I anticipated a long wait but to my dismay it was brought swiftly. It was presented beautifully on a gaint planter. Throughout the meal we were checked up multiple times.
The food itself was heavenly, I got the Dragon roll and the shrimp tempura (deep fried). The presentation was neat and the taste was a whirlwind of flavors and textures. The shrimp tempura had a nice crunch to it and mouth full of flavor coexisting with one another. I only wish they would have drizzled more sauce upon the rolls as some needed more than others. Overall, I expect myself to come here again as my first time was a great experience.

This place wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t extremely great. The service was slow cause they were short staffed but the restaurant was pretty clean. We got two sushi rolls for $23; idk if we would go again.

They have the authentic and fresh sashimi in town, salmon, uni, and tuna.. They also have the best salmon skin hand roll compared to others. I also like to order combo tempura with vegi and shrimp. Quality is pretty consistent ever since I have been there more than 6 times!

My favorite place to have sushi. Amazing hand rolls and the fish is always fresh. I recommend the cooked salmon skin hand roll. You will not be disappointed. If you are going out to sushi I 100 percent recommend this place.

11 out of 5. The best sushi I’ve had in my entire life. Not exaggerating. Unagi was so tender. Rice was perfect. Best soft-shelled crab.
Servers were so friendly. They greeted so many guests like old friends. I can’t wait to be a regular here.
