Great food, great drinks, and great atmosphere especially for kids 3 and up! This place should have more than 3.9 stars!

Food was great service was average seemed like we were being rushed. Also a 20% gratuity was added to bill for only a party of 4 which was a bit confusing to me and was not on any signage or disclosed at the start of the dining experience. We got the Tour of Japan dinner for 2 a noodle dish chicken fried rice and another sushi roll along with cocktails. Again food was great but fell short in service and availability of restrooms was rushed and the 30% gratuity for such a small party was a huge surprise.

We went to eat here today. First time I have been in about a year. Typically the sushi was good and fresh. We are big sushi fans. Even my 14 year old loves it. We ordered a sampler to share. The Miso soup and salad were great. The sushi was terrible. Esp the tuna. The spicy tuna roll was sweet and then we tired the nigiri. You could smell the awful smell before it got to your mouth. I told our server who brought me the bill bc no way we could eat this. I had tried 2 other pieces of white fish and they were slimy. The bill was for the full amount so I told him I wasn’t paying for food was bad. A lady server came to our table and told us that everyone else was eating the food and not complaining. She told me it’s raw fish and that’s the way it smells. It most certainly is NOT the way it’s supposed to smell.
She was very rude. I can tell you the sushi was bad. I’m actually sick from it now. I will not go back. If the lady had of apologized and left it at that I would have just considered this a bad day. Our server was apologetic. We did get the bill reduced for the platter at the end.

I’m a retired Navy vet and me my daughter and son were at a resort in Williamsburg for a week and decided to give this place a try because we love sushi. I ordered the platter in the pic but was only familiar with the California roll and the others were something new I wanted to try. I finished the California roll but the others were something my taste buds didn’t agree with whatsoever. Also as you can see one is pilled with some type of tuna fish atop of it. Just didn’t taste good. So I told the waitress that I didn’t like either and before I could even say I’m willing to still pay same price and maybe just get two more California rolls and she can take the unwanted dish away, she instantly got extremely loud enough for the entire place to hear her and said ohhhhhh nooooo we can’t do that maam, what if everyone didn’t like their food! It’s nothing wrong with our food!!! I 100% knew she was trying to put me on the spot because I was a beautiful brown Goddess and she expected that if she got loud, I’d become irate and ignorant! Her attitude was very nasty and she truly embarrassed me and my children. My daughter instantly stopped eating and was shocked and she’s 17, and my son 10. Her energy was very unprofessional!!! So she stormed off to get the manager and the manager was actually very polite explaining that if I got 2 more California rolls, it’s a price difference so I said np I’m retired navy ma’am, I wouldn’t be here if I couldn’t pay, it’s just I didn’t like the taste. So she says np we can make you two more California rolls and don’t worry about the price difference. The waitress didn’t bring it, it was brought out by someone else. So we finished our food and watched the waitress just pass us by several times until I said excuseee me, could we get our bill please and she goes “YEAH!!!”….. So when she brings the bill I lean in and ask her does she know what the highest vibration is? She looks completely lost! I said well it’s love and authenticity, and if you’re working somewhere where you’re unable to flow in those simultaneously, you probably shouldn’t work there!!!! So she makes the rudest face and smacks her lips and walks off! She def didn’t like the color of my skin and thought it was okay to do me like that and the nerve to treat me like I didn’t want to pay wowww! I just was hungry and wanted to enjoy what I eat lol paying wasnt the problem. I also told the manager on the way out that I spoke to the employee on love and authenticity and that spiritually you don’t know who people are so just because you see physically don’t treat people any ole type of way because I’m very much intune and flowing from my soul.

I def wanted to share my experience as a brown Goddess because she def did me like that only for being such and I wholeheartedly know no one else would have been given such a hassle. I also watched her rolling her eyes as she walked off to get beverages for another brown couple and their children. Unfortunately I don’t know her name but the manager knows and it’s crazy I was sooooo embarrassed that I was announcing I’m retired navy and I’m not without money and can pay while everyone stared at us! Just like in the medical field with HIPAA, it’s common sense that what’s happening at our table should only be at our table and you use your inside voice with all customers but she expected me to be rude and “ghetto” as we’re stereotyped to be not knowing my vibration is truly of the cosmos.

The Universe is already dealing with her heart but again I wanted to share this horrific experience…..

Signed, Hungry Vet wanting Sushi lol

We ordered this delicious food from this place which i have never been. It is so fresh and delicious and arrived at the resort quickly. As a women of color i did read all reviews and was hoping that the way I looked would not be part of the problem. But my sister always orders from here when she comes to Williamsburg and she goes inside. I’m impressed by the sweetness of the freshness of this sushi. I will definitely be ordering again.

This is my favorite sushi spot, lobster dynamite is pretty decent, I also got the spicy salmon Te-maki I like this one and the crab Rangoon egg-rolls so good! Pretty pricey but worth it.

We tried this newer hibachi and sushi place while I’m town off of the recommendation of a local. The food was good nothing extra special but nothing wrong either. The pricing was a little higher than we usually see at places like this. Also there was very little interaction or “show” during the hibachi portion. It was the middle of the week and they were very slow so could be different at busier times.

TLDR-Dine-in great, take out-very small portions

I have been here a few time for hibachi and it has always been great food, friendly staff, and a good experience. I have recommended it to people. Overall 5 stars.

Today, I got takeout and I was very disappointed. I got the chicken noodle stir fry and the portion size was a joke, there might have been 6-7 small pieces of chicken. I was splitting this with my almost 1 year old and she ate all the chicken. It had maybe 3/4 cup of noodles. And this was $18!!

I also got the chicken stir fry which was a little better but nothing like dining in. This was my first and last time getting takeout from here.
Takeout-1star

Attentive customer service. Spring Rolls were pretty hollow. Didn’t taste good. Chose not to eat them. Sushi was just okay.. Wasn’t a fan of the Styrofoam packaging.

Our visit to Miyaki Sushi and Grill was underwhelming. The food was mediocre overall, with each dish falling short of expectations. The miso soup was particularly disappointing, as it lacked the rich, savory umami flavor that comes from a proper dashi base, making it taste bland and uninspired. The Unagi Don was passable, mainly because it’s hard to go wrong with teriyaki sauce, but the unagi itself was a letdown—it wasn’t firm, which took away from the texture and overall enjoyment of the dish.

The bulgogi was another miss. It tasted bland and lacked the bold, savory flavors you’d expect. Even after asking for sesame seeds to enhance it, the dish still felt flat and uninspired.

The service was decent—nothing to rave about, but no significant complaints either. The restaurant itself was averagely clean, which didn’t leave a strong impression one way or another.

Overall, the experience was lackluster. While it wasn’t entirely bad, there’s a lot of room for improvement, especially in terms of food quality and flavor.
