Nachos were very, made for 2 people it’s so big. Cheesesteak also good, added au just, that was even better. Good service, nice casual restaurant with a little upscale feel. Food came out quick. Large menu selections, lots of options.

We visit HHI every summer. We decided to try a new restaurant each night for this trip. So glad we found this awesome off the beaten path restaurant! The food was delicious and the service was excellent! We will definitely be back next year.

We love the fajitas, excellent chicken. The waitress has been around long enough to be good at her job with ease. Inside bar and an outdoor bar that is enclosed during colder weather. Nice patio.

Found this little gem using Google maps. Not sure how people found these restaurants tucked away behind main arteries in Hilton Head before GPS.
Parking lot filled up fast at lunch time. Didn’t have to wait to be seated in a booth. They also have table seating inside and out. Our server was fast and friendly and gave us enough time to read through the menu while she got our beverages. This is a Coke restaurant (no Pepsi). Hubby ordered the Pork Tacos with Charro beans and rice. He absolutely loved them. The tacos were filled to the top. Beans were very flavourful and the rice was cooked perfectly. His only complaint was the taco shell could have been double wrapped. One completely fell apart so he had to eat with utensils. Next time will ask for a double wrap.
I had the Chicken sandwich, blackened chicken with tomato, lettuce and onion. Served on a bun. The blackening on the chicken was delicious, just the way I like it. Not overly burn your mouth hot but just enough heat that you can taste and enjoy it. Fries were decent.
Both meals were perfect size for lunch. The only option for a dessert was chocolate cheesecake which we passed on.
Will be back to try some other menu items. There are a lot to choose from.

I wish we liked it more, we wanted to. We live here and like trying new places. Mixx was recommended by a local so we tried it out. Looked at the menu online and there was variety and decent prices. I wasn’t sure what type of restaurant because it had Mexican, Italian, and American. Is that why it’s called MIXX? We got there and it’s a quaint place, and little small with outdoor seating. We opted to sit outside. Nice tables but some had plastic chairs and others had better quality chairs. We were sat at a table with plastic chairs and the chairs were dirty with leaves. Service was fairly quick, our server, Wendy was pleasant enough. We ordered the meatball appetizer, breakfast burger entree and Louisiana pasta entree. Hindsight we probably should have ordered Mexican because maybe that’s the true cuisine of the restaurant? Food came out quick. The food was okay, not bad, not great. Burger and meatballs lacked flavor. The pasta was decent. There was no real service between food drop off and check. I don’t remember if we were asked how everything was? It was close to being dark outside and we noticed every other table was brought a cute light for the table, except us. We rate a restaurant by if we would go back. We probably wouldn’t and not because it was a bad place, it was just beige, neutral, nothing really stood out with the experience.

Came in, to Mixx on main got seated, waitress was an older blonde woman, server took forever to take our order, after we got appetizers and beverages, server didn’t even offer any refills for my soda, was definitely over 15 minutes. Luckily a different server took good care of us. Hopefully this doesn’t continue!!

The Super Grouper was excellent, the shrimp mango salsa on top, exquisite. I got it blackened and it was perfect, not salty, served with fresh cut grilled veggies. Yummy! Can’t go wrong with this menu item.

We went to Mixx on Main for the first time after our daughter’s volleyball game with our family and in-laws. The hostess was very friendly and sat us quickly, but that’s where the positives ended. It took quite a while for our server to even come by, and when she did, the service felt rushed and careless.
One of the pasta dishes came out completely wrong, and instead of apologizing, the waitress seemed annoyed. The chicken on one of the salads smelled spoiled, and the taco shell on another salad was clearly stale and tasted days old. Unfortunately, no one at our table enjoyed their meals.
To make matters worse, the waitress disappeared for a long stretch and returned smelling like smoke, which was disgusting during dinner service. For a place with so many good reviews, I’m not sure what happened…maybe an off night or a temp cook—but our experience was awful from start to finish. We left completely disappointed and won’t be coming back.
