Me and my partner popped into Mixto! in Brighton & Hove for some sushi and a poke bowl and honestly had the best time. The food was spot on – fresh, full of flavour and beautifully put together. The guy serving was running the whole place on his own, but he still made us feel really well looked after and worked incredibly hard. Proper lovely service and seriously tasty food. Highly recommend!

We went to Mixto last night and had a great time. We’ve been before for a quick lunch but it was nice to sit down and have an evening meal. The food was amazing, as always, especially the hand made nori tacos. You can tell how fresh all the ingredients are and the flavour combinations are so exciting. It was lovely to speak to Oswaldo too, he was very generous and it’s so nice to hear how passionate he is about the great food and atmosphere at Mixto.

What a place! lovely family run business. Great vibes and the food is truly unreal. Never had Shushi, hot or cold like it. My favourite is the Salmon Shashimi Nori Taco, its life changing. Give it a go, you will not be disappointed I promise.

I’ve been to this restaurant several times and always leave wanting more. The sushi tacos are unlike anything I’ve had anywhere else and their other menu items are just as delicious! It’s a family-owned business and every time I go in they are so kind. You can see the passion they have for their food and taste it as well. I could not recommend more!!

This place is amazing. The food is made with passion by a very welcoming and friendly owner. For those who are sceptical of the fusion angle – this is a combination of top tier food. The gyoza are the best in brighton (neck and neck with another Japanese restaurant). The nori tacos, an invention of the owner, are delicious – try king prawn tempura one. The price is also good. These day with food so expensive, the fact you can have a top tier and filling lunch for £10-£20 is great. I have a huge appetite so I tend to spend about £20 but I leave with a very full belly and feeling invigorated from the tastiness and freshness of the food. This is my new favourite spot.

Such a gem!! A brilliant spot for Asian Latin fusion. The food is fresh, full of flavour, and perfect for sharing. Service was super friendly, attentive, and fast. One of the best meals we’ve have had in ages, we will definitely be back!!
