They have the best options for gluten free deliciousness outside of the Cities! Especially when they do the mini donuts and cheese curds events I also have purchased their select items from select grocery stores like the cinnamon roll pictured.

I love this bakery! Every time I’m in the area I make it a priority to stop. Everything is gluten free and not contaminated which is super important as I’m Celiac. The herb bread is THE BEST! I also have GERD and because of the lack of preservatives I have no issues eating it. Thank you to all the staff for making this a safe and tasty place to get treats 🙂

I do get a lot of items from Mixin it Up and I have found them to be either really good or missing the mark.

First, I love the fact that they are a dedicated gluten free bakery and I can get stuff there that can be hard to find in other places like their bacon bread. I think they have an amazing selection and variety. They truly do try to offer something for everyone and I appreciate that.

That being said, sometimes the baked good aren’t so great. Case in point my husband picked me up some cinnamon rolls this evening. They had no frosting on them and were a bit on the over cooked side. I had to get rid of them because they were overdone and I couldn’t fix them. This has happened a couple of times with some bars and cookies but I was super bummed about the rolls, these were my Valentine’s gift from my hubby and one of my favorite pastries they have.

Overall, it is a decent place to get items from and their breads are amazing. They also do great muffins. I would say to try it out and discover your favorite item.

I have been coming here off and on since 2017. I used to live a couple of blocks away and was so excited to find a place to get treats and bread! Even now, if I find myself anywhere near Sauk Rapids, I try to stop by.

The service is fast and friendly, the treats are always cooked well. I love the bars, the macarons and the cakes. The cheese curd and fresh donut day every year is something I have grown to look forward to. (Especially when you can’t get those things fresh and hot on a regular basis. )

The team here is amazing to work with. I got my wedding cake from them a couple of years back and it turned out PERFECT.

If you’re in the area and have food allergies, I definitely recommend stoping by!

I ordered a cake from this bakery about six months ago after being told they offered gluten-free, egg-free, and peanut-free options. While I understand that specialty items can cost more, charging five times the price of a normal bakery feels excessive and unjustified.
The cake we ordered for my daughter was disappointing. The taste was mediocre at best, and the design did not meet expectations. It honestly felt like we were paying a huge premium simply because of allergy-friendly options, which comes across as taking advantage of families who don’t have other choices.
On top of that, the customer service was terrible. The older woman working there was rude and extremely unhelpful, and she showed very little knowledge or concern regarding our specific needs.
We will absolutely never use this bakery again, and I strongly recommend that others look elsewhere. The prices are not worth the quality or the service. This place honestly deserves zero stars.

I would absolutely give this place zero stars if that were possible. This bakery is the definition of price gouging. They love to advertise peanut-free, egg-free, and gluten-free options, then use that as an excuse to charge THREE TIMES what a normal cake costs at a grocery store. The slight difference in ingredient costs does not justify these outrageous prices, and anyone who bakes even casually knows that.
What makes it worse is that they seem perfectly comfortable overcharging families who often need allergen-friendly options. That’s not premium service — that’s taking advantage of people. On top of already ridiculous prices, they even have the nerve to add a processing fee for using a debit card, as if customers aren’t already paying more than enough.
Nothing about this place feels honest or customer-focused. The pricing is excessive, the justification is weak, and the extra fees are insulting. There are far better, more reasonably priced options out there that don’t treat customers like walking wallets. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. Save your money and support a business that actually respects its customers.

The best day of my life was when Fresh Thyme starting selling Mixin It Up products. As a celiac, I am so grateful to have DELICIOUS options for me eat when I grocery shop. Highly recommend: cinnamon rolls, peanut butter chocolate pie, m&m bars, dinner rolls, peanut butter cookies, and my most favorite of all TURTLE BROWNIE! ❤️ They are the best, you won’t regret buying any of their products.

I have been visiting and buying treats from Mixin it up for many years. They never disappoint-everything is so tasty! They have such a variety of items- some of my favorites are the peanut butter bars, butterscotch bars, dollar buns, cake balls, red velvet cupcakes and my new favorite, the little Jessi christmas tree- sooo good, it has been such a long time since I’ve been able to have one of these!! Thank you for supplying gluten free goodies!

I absolutely love this place! They always do my son’s birthday cake’s because of his peanut and egg allergy. They are great when it comes to taking allergies seriously. I wouldn’t trust anybody else! Plus the cake’s are always delicious.

What a fun surprise this Bakery find was! We were on our way home from Minneapolis and I googled gluten free bakery in the area and Mixing it Up came up. It’s an easy detour off of I 94 but well worth it. The only downside is they aren’t open Sundays when we usually come through so have to plan ahead for sure!
