The sashimi was incredibly fresh and high quality. You can really taste the difference. The atmosphere inside is also surprisingly nice — much better than what you would usually expect from a neighbourhood sushi spot. Great food and a comfortable place to enjoy sushi. Highly recommend!

Only one person working so pretty slow on the service side. Didn’t come to check on us while eating. We ordered Yogurt Sake, Tako Wasabi Salad, Ika Salad, Spicy Roll Combo, House Roll, and Crunch Dynamite Roll. We enjoyed the salads, but the rolls were okay. Presentation for the combo rolls was very bad and the specialty rolls were presented well. Parking was easy and restaurant was easy to find.

What a gem! I often come to this area and always felt there weren’t many good dining options around. I happened to walk into this place by chance, and I’m so glad I did. The food, the atmosphere, and the service were all wonderful — everything was fresh, beautifully prepared, and thoughtfully presented. It’s definitely a spot worth making a special trip for!

Overall it was a poor experience for the first time. When we came in, I was talking to the server for how many people, he stopped me talking to tell him how many people by hand sign ✋ and started talking to my uncle in law beside me because he thought we are not together. His overall service was rude and unacceptable. The foods were average comparing its price…my push is hamachi special roll, it was tasty and can’t find such a roll from other sushi store. The seafood salad was fresh but the sauce for salad was really not adequate. The miso soup was one of the poorest, not even one little tofu or one green onion inside it. We asked if their miso soup was always plain. He told us if we want fried tofu, he can add it for us. After the sushi rolls came, we realized they do have green onions but they just didn’t want to put it. Do not recommend the miso soup. The store was neat and clean though.

Good sushi, lots of options and interesting menu items. A great neighbourhood go-to place for locals. The rolls are on the large size, so it is a good deal for those looking for bigger portions. Open later than most other sushi restaurants
Update 2025-07: M1u has gotten a lot better! The Assorted Sashimi is the highlight here – the fish is good quality, and it comes with real wasabi.

This place is a hidden gem in downtown Port Coquitlam. The Sashimi here is good quality and very fresh, I love their rolls, very nice presentation and delicious.

Tasty, Comforting and Affordable. We got: Unagi, Chopped Scallop and Dynamite Roll; And takoyaki and appetizer tempura. Was really delicious and well worth the price. The eel had no fishy taste at all and the scallops had a perfect amount every bite. Split between 2 people was just a little over 20$ each before tip. Will definitely be coming back here again.

I’ve always wanted to try spicy crab pasta. It was great, as I expected. We additionally ordered assorted sushi and salmon sashimi. They tasted really great. The service and cleanliness of the store were also very good. You can also taste Sapporo beer every day for the great price of buy-one-get-one $9.99.
