Terrible food !!! Uncooked dosa , sambhar so watery, if ppl think this is how Indian food look and taste like – then I am sorry what I had today is not even 1% near by .
Sambar was cold , lady packed in the box ahead of serving and it become cold , I did not complain bcoz how many things should I complain – sambhar , dosa or a taste etc .
Check the picture and see uncooked dosa and what they posted is totally different.
My all high went zero.

This restaurant serves the best South Indian food I’ve ever tasted! We tried their Mysore masala dosa, Masala dosa, plain Idli, Ghee podi Idli, vada and Indian Coffee. Every bite reminded me of the authentic flavors of India, from crispy dosas to flavorful sambar, everything is utterly delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. If you’re looking for amazing indian food and exceptional service, this is the place to go!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mitti cuisine, an Indian food restaurant that offers an authentic taste of India in the heart of the Athens, GA. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a cozy interior that features traditional Indian décor, giving off a welcoming vibe.
The food was the real star of the evening. We started with vada with sambar. It was a perfect introduction to what was to come. Chicken 65 was go good with just the right amount of spice, while the Peshwari Naan complemented the dishes wonderfully, and the Biryani had a fragrant aroma that filled the entire room, making it hard to resist.
The service was attentive, and the staff were knowledgeable about the menu. Our food arrived promptly, and everything was well-presented.
Mitti cuisine is a solid choice for anyone craving traditional Indian dishes with a modern twist. It’s great for a casual dinner with friends or a special occasion. I’ll definitely be returning to explore more of their menu in the future!

Finally a good Indian place in Athens! The food I ordered was delicious! I totally recommend and will be ordering again. This is a family run business and they have just started, so expect a little longer wait and double check your order before leaving if ordering to go. Definitely worth the wait

This place is a great boon for people looking for Indian food in Athens. It is the closest in taste to back home though some of their dishes are less spicier or more sweeter and cater to American people. Chef P is super warm and inviting and is open to customizing dishes according to our preference. Goat Biriyani, Goat Lababdar, and Beef Curry, with either Malabar Porotta or Garlic Naan, are some of my favorites!

Overall experience of Mitti for me was okay. Manager or the owner who i believe was there was very friendly to customers. Rest of the staff seemed too busy to explain things or greet. Food was okay. Best out of what i bought was lollipop chicken. Parotta seemed like it was a prepacked parotta reheated. Ive tasted enough parotta in my life to know that it was not freshly cooked. Butter chicken had more sour and sweetness to it. I know you guys cannot increase the spice level because it might be too spicy for majority of the athens customers but it could be toned down from sweetness a little. Ill definitely come back again to try other options that other good reviewers has been posting. I do want them to succeed because there is only limited indian restaurants in athens.

My friends and I had an incredible experience at Mitti last weekend. We enjoyed authentic South Indian food, and everything was absolutely delicious. The Peshawari naan was unmatched – I’ve never had such tasty naan before. We loved the vada, dosa, sambar, and many other dishes!
The location and ambiance are fantastic! There’s an Asian grocery store right next door, perfect for some quick shopping after your meal. I can’t wait to visit again. Go treat yourself to the delicious food!

Great selection of food, including vegan and vegetarian options. They have good dosas. Small, cozy dining room, informal atmosphere.
The food is GOOD. I am not Indian, but have enjoyed and cooked Indian food for years. I have made dosas. A lot of Indians eat there.

Great South Indian cuisine. Rice and curry combo is a fantastic deal. Delicious dosa. Delicious madhu vadai (savory doughnut). Excellent paneer tikka masala. Excellent bhindi (okra), best of many restaurants I’ve tried. Dal tadka (yellow lentil) tempered with care and super tasty. Sambar quite spicy. It’s worth paying extra for garlic naan instead of plain. I could go on. The food is great.
AC is a bit lacking but what the heck, this is a hole in the wall style place with five star food.
