If I could add another category and rate it with 5/5 Stars it would be Nostalgia. This place hits hard if you’re craving your authentic Taiwanese fix. I drove from San Jose and did not regret it. Will come back next weekend. I order the Spicy Chives and Eggs Burrito and it was everything I wanted. Thank you!!

Cash or check only. They don’t have English menu. That’s how authentic this place is.
It might be better to pre-order but you can buy some stuff without pre-order.
My Taiwanese husband likes this place!

I bought the Chinese stewed cabbage(白菜滷) but what’s inside the packaging is two bags of meat jerky. If you don’t hv the product just say it’s sold out on the invoice and not give people what they did not order. I get it it’s hard for businesses but that’s not a way to conduct business if u want customers to come back. We also bought the moon shrimp cake (月亮蝦餅)the quality is not there anymore. No where near how it used to taste, there’s a lack of shrimp taste n they mixed in the shrimp paste with too much powder. The crispy layer is not present in the middle, only on the edges, very disappointing not going to order anymore

they are closed for holiday until 12/2. I wish they updated Google map hours so that I wouldn’t drive a long way to find this out 🙁

Nice taiwanese street food! There are some ready to eat food in the store but you’ll need to book ahead for most of the hidden version of street foods.

The place is great. Can order a fresh Jian Bing. They got a bunch of rice burrito and assorted bento. Take out and cash or zelle only.

Our family loved the Taiwanese fantuan, or rice burritos here. Best fantuan you could find in the bay area. Bento boxes (pork chop and hainanese chicken) are also amazing. It has become our weekly ritual to come here and grab the take-outs. Love it and will keep coming back.

Located in a nondescript warehouse facility, this is a commercial kitchen creating Taiwanese/Mandarin food specialties, some frozen, for takeout only. My wife has been buying from the lady owner since she was doing it in her home kitchen in San Francisco many years ago. My wife crosses the San Mateo Bridge at least once every other month to stock up on comfort foods difficult to find elsewhere.

Maxine’s kitchen does great, authentic Taiwanese food … though not a restaurant, you can order to your heart’s delight things that she make from scratch. Some of my favorite items are her 饭团,贡丸,排骨便当,卤肉饭,鸡卷。 A good way to get in touch with her is to find her kitchen on Facebook under 阿美廚房.
