I really enjoy the variety of ice cream flavors, although I think their prices are a little high. Quality and service is great though! I always get the taster’s duo since you can get 2 different flavors of ice cream for $5 and it’s not small. Some of my favorite flavors are chocolate peanut butter cup, black raspberry chocolate chunk, campfire s’mores, and chocolate caramel brownie! Always ask for a sample if you’re trying something new!!

My favorite ice cream shop ever
The moment you walk in you’re greeted by the delicious smell of freshly made waffle cones. Mitchell’s ice cream is incredibly creamy and rich. They do every flavor so well from the classics to fun seasonal options. My favorites are strawberry and caramel fudge brownie but they have something for everyone no matter what mood you’re in. Get a taster’s duo or trio to try multiple flavors!
I always have to stop by Mitchell’s whenever I’m in the area. It’s the gold standard and I compare every other ice cream place to this one. Nothing has beat it yet

Everything here was perfect! I highly recommend the Taster’s Duo, which offers the best value for money. All the flavors were delicious, but the salted caramel and the mango were standouts! Go during the afternoon – the place is empty and the service is top-notch.

This place was so busy when we got there and it is easy to understand why! It was some of the best ice cream I’ve had at an ice cream shop. The Lemon White Chocolate Cookie was the best lemon ice cream I’ve ever had!! It’s good we don’t live near a Mitchell’s Homemade because I’d want to visit way too often. It is definitely worth visiting if you are close to one!

My visit today was on a Sunday at approx 6pm or so. I accidently placed the wrong Sundae order and was willing to eat it anyway, but I thought what the heck I’ll just be honest and explain what happened. The staff was nice enough to correct my order and offer the Turtle Sundae I desired which was delicious as usual.
Here is the Plus/Minus on this store:
Plus – The ice cream always tastes delicious; the service is fast and excellent every time. Even if the line is long it always moves fast. The temperature in the dining area is always comfy whether it is hot or cold outside. The dining area is always clean. Lots of delicious flavors and speciaty items like shakes and sundaes. This has become my fave ice cream spot in NEO.
Minus: Approx 6 unruly, loud, disruptive youth arrived near the end of my visit. I wanted to escort them right out the door, fortunately they didn’t stay long. Perhaps this is a new trend in Solon because a similar thing happened in nearby Chick-Fil-A Solon a few weeks ago. Oops I spoke too soon, the bad kis came back 🙁

October 2022: I brought the family here after a visit at the Solon Family Health Center. Their first time eating Mitchell’s Ice Cream and they liked it.
Pros:
* Large, clean open inside area to enjoy ice cream year round. They even have paper, crayons, and small shorter tables for the toddlers to use.
* Friendly staff who were patient with us as we sampled various flavors prior to ordering
* Good variety of ice cream flavors to choose from.
Cons:
* Maple Walnut is out of season
* Parking during peak times could be an issue, especially in the front parking lot. Additional parking in the rear.
Conclusion: We will most definitely be back for more ice cream. My family loves Mitchell’s Ice Cream and recognizes them as a top tier ice cream supplier in the Cleveland area. However, they seem to prefer Honey Hut when given the option.

One of our favorite parts about coming to visit the Cleveland area is coming to Mitchell’s. It might have been a chilly fall afternoon but it’s never too cold for ice cream in my mind. We came to this location because it was the closest. It was spacious and clean. The staff let us sample plenty of flavors and were all friendly. I highly suggest you get the peppermint fudge sundae while it is in season.
