Great food, great atmosphere! We loved the entire experience dining here. The chef came out and spoke with us, the service was very friendly. You can even buy some artisan chocolates at the little bakery/chocolate portion of the restaurant. Highly recommend!

Sooooo close to a 5 star experience. For 5 everything has to be perfect. This place had amazing food with good and service. Our waiter was exceptional. Explained everything well and we even had him just surprise us with wine pairings (they were perfect). Menu was expansive and interesting. The desserts were great. Only negative was the seating. We reserved a table and ended up being seated in the bar area at a small high top with lots of traffic. The restaurant area had a bunch of open tables through the entire night. At our tiny table there was barely room for our plates and drinks. We also could not see the open concept kitchen at work which was one of the reasons we booked here. But, if not for the seating issue, this was a great meal.

We loved everything about this restaurant. Our waiter was efficient, personable and super knowledgeable. The food was incredible, and we were delighted by the unique presentations. Cocktails were inventive. Chef Nicola even came out and entertained our whole table with charming tales of his Food Network experience. We will be back. Soon!

This is a beautifully designed restaurant, but seems over-hyped as one of the best in the area. I happen to love Peruvians food and have enjoyed it in both Peru in the US, but this restaurant was rather disappointing after reading all the glowing reviews. The food seems more an Italian chef’s interpretation of Peruvian food.

Delicious peruvian food. Customer service makes a big difference during lunch time they have an amazing waiter young man who takes the whole experience to the next level. The peruvian empanadas are delicious, and the ceviche is so fresh, peruvian corn is my favorite. The desert is delicious!

Always on the hunt for a Peruvian restaurant in the US that really tastes like home, we found Mistura in a recent weekend getaway to SLO. It did not disappoint! The environment and service were really nice. Our waiter was super enthusiastic and kind. The chef came to greet us, he is married to a Peruvian so he knows we take our gods very seriously . The food was really good. The best was the Rompe Muelle ceviche. It tasted exactly like what you get in Peru. The Aji de gallina was good, although it was a little on the dry side. The lomo saltado needed a little more kick so we ordered the anticuchera sauce and that fixed it for sure. The dessert (Machu Picchu) was good and inventive. Oh and the pisco sours had nothing to envy the ones from our motherland. The only thing I didn’t like is that they charge for the sauces, and don’t tell you on the menu, at least I didn’t notice it (they are worth it, but a heads up is appreciated). Be careful with the Aji limo one, it’s HOT!

I recommend setting up a reservation for faster seating. The restaurant is always packed and the service is always on point. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. If you are up for dessert I recommend La Flor! So delicious! Very authentic Peruvian food thats elevated to fancy dining. Parking is hard to find but there are parking structures nearby. Picture: paella.

As soon as I stepped in and saw the atmosphere I was really hopeful of what seemed to be an excellent restaurant. Unfortunately the plating and design of the building were the most impressive aspects of my meal. I ordered the bistec, I asked for it to be cooked medium. I received what was more a kin to a pot roast that was thoroughly well done. Alongside the steak were rice, beans and plantains topped with an egg. The sides were unfortunately just as underwhelming with a severe lack of seasoning and were borderline cold. I’d have to say there are better options in the city.
