Mistral is an amazing restaurant right in Princeton and is also affiliated with elements restaurant. The chefs are amazing and forage for ingredients and also have a farm nearby. You feel like family coming here (not just in my case, I used to work for elements and my brother is now GM) and the service is impeccable. Food is delicious and unique, whether small plates or entrees. It’s a fun place, especially for happy hour. Cocktails are crafted and mixed with care. Definitely recommend!

Had too high expectations. While the reviews looked good, menu excited us and had nice offerings, execution failed. Peruvian shrimp were old and mushy, bucatini was way too al-dente. Steak rocked and scallops were perfect. Nice cocktails. But total execution is not about 1 or 2 meals being great. It’s about the whole experience. Add to everything the dismal bathroom and all the mold coming out of the mini-split and it just disappoints. Will be back, just don’t know when.

Had a delicious brunch at Mistral. Food and atmosphere were amazing but most importantly, the service was impeccable. Our server overheard us talking about an appetizer we wanted to try and he brought it over to us on behalf of the kitchen. We had such a great time- can’t wait to come back!

Sometimes first impressions are deceiving. The name of Mistral evokes a French flavored Southern European cuisine but the menu is anything but, much to its detriment. The menu sets high expectations by dropping James Beard recognition, and an overarching philosophy and first impressions were promising. The house champagne was surprisingly creamy, fresh and had the best side of grape must in its nose.

Probably one of the best places in the area. A perennial favorite no frills James Beard Awardee for all the good things. Cocktails are at another level the food ethereal

Phenomenal mixture of flavors and spices between east and west with deep level of complexity while achieving satisfying balance. The Szechuan Wings exemplifies it. Love this place!

Interesting cocktails and good! Mistral never disappoints, always surprises with the best quality drinks and food! Thank you Mistral staff! The food is a delight to eat, and an art to look at. Specially the desserts come with such a variety of ice creams and mousse, which all go well together, love it!

Mistral is a unique crossover of Japanese/Italian/American cuisine, to me at least. Everything was excellent and the unique menu was so freshing. We came here to celebrate my 30th birthday on the recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint. Everything we had was fantastic. We LOVED the Clam Chowder Beignets and the Pan Seared Halibut for my main was incredible. The atmosphere was really nice, busy, but not too loud. Our server was also excellent (I forgot his name!). Mistral is worth the stop if you’re in the Princeton area and also worth the drive for that special dinner if you’re not near by.

I met up with some work friends for appetizers and drinks. Incredible. Original creations that did not disappoint! This place is a gem. This is the type of place that makes you look forward to the next business trip to the area. If you enjoy bourbon, try the Devastator.
