This is a must! No need to worry about missing the ice cream truck! Fast and friendly service. They have a variety of soft serve and hard ice cream, shakes, and malts. Plenty of options for all. No seating so expect to takeaway. Plenty of parking and easy access to the highway. Overall, a great experience!

Finally got to pass by the new Mr Softee shop in East Islip, Long Island. It is located on a strip of stores with limited parking in front but there appears to be mire spots behind the building but you may need to walk around vs entering thru the back. The store is small and has some counter space to consume your purchases inside but we had a line of customers and with a 3 person staff we waited about 5 to 10 minutes. The staff was very cheerful and polite. The ice cream was as expected from Mr Softee but they also had some hard ice cream and a waffle maker for fresh waffle offerings. We will definitely be back. They also have soveneirs and some swag as well as toys.

The way I RAN to the new Mister Softee Store omg! It’s the first store on Long Island if it’s kind and an hour outside of NYC. They just opened on March 1. I was lucky the line wasn’t super long today but I can only imagine what it will be like in the summer! Everything was clean and new. Workers were quick and friendly. Had to get myself a classic soft serve with sprinkles. Reminds me of my childhood days running after the ice cream truck – only now you don’t have to! Also saw some delicious banana splits and milkshakes. Enjoy!

Stepping into a Mr. Softee storefront was a truly nostalgic experience for me. Growing up, I was used to the familiar jingle of the Mr. Softee ice cream truck rolling through the neighborhood, but actually visiting a store felt like a rare treat. It was a pleasant surprise to come across this location, as you don’t often see brick-and-mortar Mr. Softee stores—it’s usually just the trucks making their rounds.
From the first bite, I was instantly transported back to childhood. The soft serve ice cream tasted exactly as I remembered it—smooth, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. I opted for the classic chocolate and vanilla twist, a staple that never disappoints. Compared to Carvel, I found the texture softer and creamier, making it even more enjoyable.
One of the best parts was the affordable pricing. You can get a cone for around $5 with one topping, which is pretty reasonable considering today’s ice cream prices. They also offer various flavors beyond the traditional vanilla and chocolate, so there’s something for everyone.
If you’re looking for a nostalgic treat or just love soft serve ice cream, I’d highly recommend checking this place out. And if you have kids, they’ll absolutely love it. There’s something special about getting your ice cream from Mr. Softee, whether from a truck or a storefront, and I’m glad I got to experience it again in a whole new way!

Mister Softee is hands down my favorite ice cream truck, and I was SO excited to go to their physical store in Long Island, but the experience was not all it was made out to be. First of all, there was barely any parking or space to even eat the ice cream – so I saw everyone just eating their ice cream on top of their cars. Secondly, the store was so tiny and I felt so cramped inside the store. There were only two soft serve flavors and a bunch of other regular ice cream flavors. I got the chocolate with oreo and it was SOO expensive. On the screen it said it was $5ish, but the total came out to $6+!!! It was SOO much more expensive than normal Mister Softee ice cream trucks. Not to mention, the oreos came in GIANT chunks, so you have to finish the actual oreo pieces before you get to the ice cream. Which isn’t intuitive at all because the ice cream melts fast… so it was an awful experience. I wish the oreos were dust powder instead of chunks, or at least put the oreos on the side ??? I wish the employees had the decency to tell me that the oreos came in giant chunks…so I would know how to plan ahead of time. I do not recommend that experience because the ice cream got all over my hands due to me not being able to actually eat the ice cream due to the giant oreo chunks. Anyway, not a great experience and it was also too expensive and overpriced. Would not come back.

We went on a warm evening so the soft serve ice cream was melting faster than we could enjoy but it was very good as Mister Softer always is. The servers were friendly. The shop itself is not too spacious and the heat
coming off the freezer units made it a bit uncomfortable while waiting. Also the parking is very limited and challenging to pull in and out so use caution with that.

The ice cream was fine, the store is a bit small. Gets crowded pretty fast. It will be nice if they had a place to sit outside now that the weather is getting nicer. Not sure there is enough space in the front of the store though.

Visited a second time yesterday and the guy behind the counter was awesome. He was so enthusiastic in getting us to try flavors before settling in what we wanted. The strawberry cheesecake is definitely a favorite now…so good
