My girlfriend and I had a really great dinner here. The food was excellent and our server was genuinely kind and attentive. You can tell the staff works hard and cares about the experience.

The only issue came at the end when we received the bill and noticed a 20% service charge had already been added. Wanting to take care of our server, we also left an additional 30% tip, which brought the total to 50% extra.

It feels a bit misleading and excessive for restaurants to add a large service charge like this instead of simply paying their staff fairly and allowing customers to tip normally. The staff were great and deserve to be compensated well, but the policy itself left us feeling a bit taken advantage of.

I’d absolutely recommend the food and the service, but I think the restaurant should be more transparent about the service charge or reconsider the approach.

The Wash Park location of Mister Oso delivers exceptional food and a spacious atmosphere to spend time with friends and family. The service was prompt, friendly, and easygoing. The churros are delicious, especially when dipped in the brown butter sauce. The meat on the carne asada tacos was a bit tough, but still flavorful. The barria tacos were the highlight and the consommé took them to next level. The RiNo location is good, but has a cramped atmosphere in my opinion, so I’d choose this spot.

This place is AMAZING! The elite corn ribs were the best part of the meal but everything was a 10/10. My toddler ordered chicken tenders and even those were delicious. We spent a lot due to ordering 4 alcoholic drinks but other than that the price is reasonable. It’s also a plus that the Wash Park location is in a nice area and the inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated.

After hearing about this place for years, I finally came in for lunch and it didn’t disappoint. I highly recommend the coconut rice, crispy broccolini, birria tacos and churros for dessert! The service and atmosphere were also great. Will definitely be coming back!

Worst dining experience I’ve ever had.
I visited on January 27th close to closing time and received shockingly poor service. The restaurant was nearly empty—only two tables occupied (w/ couples)—and there was only one waitress on the floor. When we walked in, she was engaged in a long conversation with another table. We were seated directly behind them and were completely ignored for over 15 minutes.

She clearly saw us enter and never greeted us, offered water, or acknowledged us in any way. The bartender eventually seated us, yet the waitress continued chatting instead of doing her job. I attempted multiple times to get her attention; she made eye contact with me and still chose to ignore us. Meanwhile, every other table already had food.

We were not even offered water. At that point, I couldn’t help but question whether we were being treated this way because I am Black. I finally had to walk up to the bar and explain the situation. When asked to take our order, she did—only after realizing the bartender was helping us. When she eventually came to our table, there was no apology. When I told her we had already ordered with the bartender, her response was, “That’s better for me.” Completely unprofessional and disrespectful.

To make matters worse, a 20% service charge was added for two people, despite the fact that she provided no service at all and clearly anticipated receiving no tip. This experience was unacceptable from start to finish.

Management needs to take this seriously. No customer should ever be treated this way. I will never return and will absolutely warn others to avoid this establishment. All we did was walk in expecting basic service—and were treated with outright disregard

Fantastic. I love trying unique and fun restaurants and this is certainly one that is amazing. The food tastes amazing and there are so many options. Even with dietary restrictions within my dinner party there were a lot of items to choose from. The restaurant has a great vibe to it. This was such a wonderful place to have an office meet and greet. Would highly recommend and will stop by the next time I am in the area. The staff is amazing….

A mandatory 20% service fee that the customer has to bear simply because management hasn’t factored labor into the food cost is simply an unacceptable business model in 2026. I find it offensive, and although the tacos were great, I can’t support this any more. Thank you for the meal, though.

The food was bursting with flavour, sometimes maybe a touch too salty. However, this was balanced with a sweet pickled element or onions to brighten up the palate. My favourite was the lamb.

I don’t feel that all the dishes are for sharing, particularly the tacos. We found the portions quite small and a couple of us were still hungry after.

A 20% gratuity is automatically added to your bill, so there is no need to tip, unless you truly feel it’s warranted.
