I hate to leave a bad review on such a staple of Great Bridge, but I just got a burger and fries and was so disappointed. The burger was absolutely bland with no flavor and the bottom bun was so toasted it was like a brick. Not enough cheese ratio and shredded lettuce instead of leaf. The fries were even worse, just a healing soggy mess of oily grease that is burnt and smells like old oil. I’ll never go back.

Great little restaurant here in Chesapeake. Have had the pizza and subs and everything I’ve ordered here the last few times have been excellent! Would highly recommend to anyway wanting to grab a bite to eat.

This was a fantastic local spot with plenty of solid quick options. Order at the counter and eat there in a cozy atmosphere or take to go. We tried various options from sandwiches to pizza, salad, onion rings and cookies. Everything hit the spot. Definitely a spot I’d frequent if I lived in town.

Happy National #PiDay! The pizza here is fantastic! Perfectly cooked with a deliciously crispy crust and a wide variety of toppings to choose from. The staff were friendly and welcoming. However, I did have one minor issue during our visit. The floor was quite sticky. Overall, I still recommend this place for anyone looking for great pizza and friendly service. Just watch your step!

This is the greatest sub place in the 757. I wish I could give any negative feedback to make this review seem more realistic… But I can’t. When you walk in, you’re welcomed immediately by a friendly staff. They are helpful even when busy and the atmosphere is extremely cheery and jubilant. Everyone inside eating is having a good time and the upbeat music and the lights also help with the vibe.
Now the food. It’s not close to any other sub place in the 757. From Norfolk to Hampton to Portsmouth’s hidden Greater Grinders, this place has the best subs. The sloppy joe is so delicious… I don’t even have words to describe it, it’s that good. Remember that scene in Ratatouille when the critique eats a bite of the Ratatouille and has a flashback to childhood? That’s what eating it is like.

Ordered delivery Gyro and steak fries, chicken salad sandwich and potato salad, I understand costs have gone up, but pitiful amount of fries with order and the gyro no the size/amount it used to be, definitely think twice before ordering again

I was in the area and glad I stopped by. I got the Chesapeake Jubilee toasted sub and it did not disappoint. Full of meat and toppings with just the right amount of bread and sauce. Very good! I also got the South West egg rolls and they were impeccable! The southwest ranch sauce that came with them was also perfect and it worked as a dipping sauce for the sub too. The pictures do not do the sub justice. I managed to squish it in transit a little bit on my way home.
Staff seemed friendly as I had a brief interaction with them to take out the order. Only thing I would suggest is adding an egg roll or two to the South West order. For the price, I think that would be reasonable.

I want to give Mister Jim’s 10 stars!!! Look at my new pizza picture! Perfection! The subs here are just so delicious! Order a Bridge club with red and green peppers! Yum yum yum! Every sub I have gotten here has been delicious, you really can’t go wrong!
Food: this place offers more than just subs. They have pizza as well and they have the delicious crunchy ice :p the meat on the subs is high quality, the bread is delicious and always fresh, the cheese meat combinations work perfectly together.
Service: everyone that works here is friendly, but Mister Jim’s is always crowded, so you will usually only receive basic service which is understandable. In saying that it’s always crowded you will almost always have to wait a while to receive your food. Luckily you can order ahead online, which I highly recommend. Mister Jim’s also delivers, but I have not used before. There is also some seating. When cold it can be difficult to get a table, but when it’s warm there is lots of outdoor seating which is awesome on nice days.
Only negative is that this place is expensive for a sub joint.

So I went there Tuesday to get a Chicken Philly but it wasn’t cooked right so they gave me a credit after Calling when I got home. Then I go on Saturday to order a different sub The wait was like 25 mins for a half sub?? People that ordered after me was getting their food before me. Needless to say I won’t be eating here again Tables were dirty where I had to ask them to wipe a table off whole time I was there they never came out to do this on their own.

Even though it’s been almost 20 years since I stepped foot in this place, it brings back alot of good memories. Memories I can’t describe up here, but I definitely plan to visit this place this weekend before I go back to Charlottesville where I’ve lived for 9 years.
