Our motorcycle group stopped for lunch and we were treated to an excellent meal. The fried pork chop was delicious and came with a nice selection of sides. I chose cream corn and collard greens, washed down with sweet tea. Fantastic! Ray, the owner, made us feel right at home. Looking for real soul food? This is the place.

We stumbled across this spot whilst doing the Natchez trace parkway (visiting from Australia). The hospitality was second to none and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything we ate was delicious but special mention for the key lime pie! Definitely stop by if you are nearby

We were lucky enough to stumble on Mississippi’s Finest on our way through Port Gibson. The food was amazing and the people were even better. Mrs P came and sat with us to take our order, and she whipped up a custom salad and served us greens, cornbread, fried chicken and field peas to boot. Tony, our waitress, (hope I have that name and spelling correctly) was so kind and fun to chat with. It felt like eating with family. And the owner came out to speak with us as we were leaving. Again, kind and friendly and left us with a blessing, as he is also a minister 🙂 Would absolutely recommend Mississippi’s Finest if you are looking for food better than your mamma cooked!

Y’all, I’m here to tell you that the food here is SLAMMIN.’ Bear in mind that I am a food snob so my opinion of a “hole in the wall” being phenomenal should count for a lot! If you had a grandma that did homestyle old timey southern cooking well this little lady is your grandma from another mother! The fried chicken and the rice and gravy was some of the best I have ever eaten. The folks were nice and the place was clean. Best of all, my husband and I left full for twenty bucks!

Delicious fried chicken, cabbage, yams, cornbread and coconut cake- all so good. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Very reasonable prices.

Food that feels real. Simple yet authentic. It’s hard to find a property restaurant in this area, and this is a pleasant exception. Priced reasonably.
I give 4 stars only because they mess up orders (unintentionally). Multiple times, they charged me for what I ordered – although what I found in the carry out package later was omething else (or, parts of the order missing).

After poor food and service at one local place and then being refused service at another. I stopped here without any expectations. The customer service was true southern hospitality, and the food was amazing. Even foods I normally don’t like, I love here. Thank you for a great experience.

As a traveller, I wanted a combination of soup food, a local “taste” (as opposed to chain restaurant) and friendly atmosphere. At Mississippi’s Finest I scored on all levels. Muss Eleanor and Brother Ray were wonderful and went extra mile. I went on Monday and returned Wednesday. My only regret was having to leave town. Thanks for the food and memories! Love ya, Kathy.
