Ok, we stopped here to pick up some collard greens for an event and decided to try some additional sides (the photos of the mac and cheese and red beans and rice looked good). The location is in a food court. It’s a place with a few benches and a really cool vibe. and the proprietors are a married couple that put a lot of love in the food. They were very nice and made sure we were taken care of.

The collard greens were spectacular. They were vegan (you had an option to have them with meat). The Mac and cheese was top 5 best Mac and cheese’s I’ve had. You can tell they made it from scratch. The red beans and rice were flavored perfectly.

Any time I’m driving to LA from Central California, I’m stopping there. If you want to experience soul food, you HAVE to go here.

Price: $25

Delicious soul food! The sweet yams were amazing and I also love their potato salad. I had the fried catfish nuggets and my husband got the fried pork chops. Not a whole lot of flavor but still great with hot sauce. I’ll definitely go back to try different entree in their menu.

MGF catered our work event for Black History Month and let me tell you, I need to visit in person regularly! The food was absolutely incredible even once delivered and waiting for a bit. Everything was flavorful and well seasoned, the fried chicken was crispy and moist inside. You cannot go wrong ordering from here! They managed to feed around 50 employees and did it flawlessly.

We ordered the Breaded Shrimp, Mac & Cheese, and Baby Back Ribs. The food was great, the greens with the ribs were amazing. Last time I had ribs that good I was in Atlanta. The service was great they gave ample sauces and utensils we will definitely be ordering again.

The Shrimp and Pork Chop platter was simply amazing. I’m glad my husband and I had the opportunity to try some amazing soul food in the San Fernando Valley. When I phoned in, the man Mike that answered was very kind. Wonderful customer service. We will definitely be back again.

Include the scv hub, which is a virtual food hall. Nice music while you wait for your food. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Came here on a Sunday night. Spent $29 for 6 tenders, mac and cheese, and peach cobbler. The cashier guy said the chicken is made to order so it takes a while, we waited about 20 minutes for the food to come out.
The chicken was unseasoned and not juicy. Mac and cheese was pretty good, but it was very greasy (oil at the bottom of the container). Peach cobbler was just mush and very bland. I was incredibly surprised and disappointed because this place has very high ratings. The Mac and cheese and peach cobbler were served in plastic containers that were definitely reheated in a microwave. I got buffalo sauce and bbq sauce. Both were very generic, nothing special/homemade. I would recommend going to Raising Canes over this. It’ll be arguably better for half the cost. Unfortunate as I wanted some real southern food but this was not it.

The idea of a virtual kitchen situation is new to me but this place is very good the catfish was the shinning star. I got the catfish plate with the baked beans and collard greens. The collard greens were a bit lacking in flavor but the catfish more than made up for it! It was crispy ,flavorful, and an appropriate portion!

It was our first time visiting, and the service was awesome. From the moment we entered, we were greeted, assisted with placing our orders and the food was delightful . I ordered the shrimp plate with mac- n -chesse, red beans, and rice, which were very flavourful & seasoned to perfection. My hubby ordered the pork chop meal with yams and mac -n- cheese & a dinner roll. Both plates were definitely appetizing to the taste buds. Banana pudding for dessert added the finishing touches. We will definitely be back and refer others. We highly recommend M-GF it will keep u going back. Best regards, Youlanda Jasmine-Jones

Hi there I’ve had a lot of southern food before and a few places. Let’s start with my catfish fried perfectly nice and crunchy, it was nicely seasoned. My Mac and cheese was very cheesy but I don’t particularly care for the shell pasta I felt it was a little overcooked. Not very much seasoning either just cheesy. The rice and gravy was good but the gravy was unseasoned a little bland. Now the collard greens I don’t know what’s going on with those but it tasted like it could have been good but there’s a really nasty aftertaste very bitter not sure what happened there but I didn’t enjoy them much but after taste just took over everything and it was really nasty all in all I give did a three out of five. Please fix your collard greens cuz it could have been a real tasty meal. I definitely will not be paying $40 again well the portions were large someone should be tasting their greens to make sure they don’t taste nasty like that. Normal places you get a nice soul food plate for under $20. I asked them for lemon with some of my catfish and they gave me lime so I didn’t really understand that. I’m not sure if anybody’s tasting the food but collards shouldn’t taste like that. And gravy should be seasoned. You normally get a piece of cornbread with your meal but I was given a roll which I didn’t really care for I like to eat my cornbread with my collards. Portion sizes were great. Thanks so much
