I stopped by Mississippi Belle for their dine-in lunch special and had a great experience. I ordered the pan-fried chicken with macaroni and cheese and green beans. The meal also came with hot water cornbread and onions.
The chicken was seasoned really well and cooked just right—crispy on the outside and flavorful throughout. The macaroni and cheese and green beans were both good and paired perfectly with the chicken. I personally didn’t care for the hot water cornbread, but that’s just my preference and it didn’t take away from the overall experience at all.
Ms. Sandra was very attentive. I also appreciated that I didn’t have to wait for my food since it was already prepared, which made it a perfect quick lunch spot.

The food is amazing!!!! Seasoned and flavorful!!!! Very generous portions on the meal…. This is smothered chicken dark meat and sweet potato pie! I drove about 20 minutes home after ordering and picking up my meal, the food is still a consumable temperature and I’m eating while posting

The best part was the hot water cornbread! It was amazing. The collard greens were also very good. While good, the ribs were not what I expected. Tasted and looked like they had been cooked in a crockpot. The baked beans weren’t baked. They tasted more like Bush’s beans from a can. I may try it again. The guy I was with loved the fried chicken, but I would skip the beans.

Hadn’t been here in a few years. Stopped in on a Sunday. Atmosphere was nice. No waiting. Waitress was very nice. We placed our order after being picky. We had the all you can eat with Roast beef, smothered chicken, Greens, Mac & Cheese, Sweet potatoes, Mashed potatoes, Cornbread. All of the food was very good. The only complaint I could have is the food wasn’t Hot. It was lukewarm at best. Will eat here again!

Listen, if you don’t come here to eat, just don’t eat at all. This place serves you family style meals. That means you get a certain number of meats and sides per table, and it keeps coming as long as you ask for refills. However, once you ask for a refill on 1 item, you can not get anything to-go. That’s fine because you’ll have to crawl out. Walking out isn’t an option because you’re so stuffed. The service is good. I’m not sure you have a typical waitress, but people are constantly walking around checking on you asking if you need anything. You won’t go without.
I would love to say I had a favorite food, but everything I ate was amazing, tasty, full of flavor, and mouth-watering delicious! You can order all the things, sample everything, and you will be immensely happy!
Let me finish by saying that I’m originally from Mississippi, currently an Ohio transplant. If this place was in Ohio, I’d never be homesick.

How is this soul food when the owner is Caucasian, the cooks are Latino/Hispanic, and what, because the servers/cashiers are Black, this means it’s a soul food establishment? I will give high praise to the servers providing excellent customer service! ❣️ However, it is garbage food and I won’t be back or will I refer anyone! ✌️

We moved out this way almost 2 years ago and haven’t really found any good food until TODAY‼️ If you have not been to Mississippi Belle Soul Food Restaurant…… ️ RUN This restaurant is very clean and has some absolutely delicious food. Jesus has great customer service when we walked in the door he was extremely polite. Our hostess Kisha did a very good job and made sure we were satisfied with our food. She made some great recommendations on what we should order since it was our first visit. Everything we ordered was banging and the Sweet Potato Pie & Salted Carmel Cake was the bomb dot com. I highly recommend this spot if you are looking for some good soul food. It’s hard to compare Chicago food with Indianapolis food but Mississippi Belle is a HIT‼️

Best soul food I’ve ever had. The fried pork chops and fried chicken were amazing, but especially the corn bread. Ribs were incredibly tender and melted in your mouth with the sweet barbeque sauce. My only complaint would be the slow service, which was understandable seeing how many people went. The macaroni and cheese was decent, and I would not recommend the fried cabbage.
