I was on a mission to find the perfect Christmas-themed spot for a family feast when Mission Boathouse in Beverly caught my eye. After booking, I’ll admit I felt a pang of “reserver’s remorse”—some of the reviews were a bit daunting! With the kids already excited, I crossed my fingers and prayed for a holiday miracle.

Yesterday, that miracle arrived in the form of a spectacular bottomless brunch. The experience was seamless. We were served by a “Santa’s helper” who kept a steady stream of delicacies coming to our table: creamy avocado toast, fluffy scrambled eggs, golden waffles, and even zesty fish tacos and chicken wings. Our two toddlers were surprisingly adventurous, devouring the Eggs Benedict.

Despite being packed with large families, the Boathouse felt incredibly airy and spacious—the typical holiday “roar” was barely a hum. Between the photos with Santa, the rich hot chocolate, and the toy-decorating station, our girls – and their parents! – were in absolute heaven. It was the festive win we were hoping for!

Wonderful birthday brunch for my sister. Shawn, our server, was fabulous took photos, and served up humor with the food. We enjoyed the bottomless brunch and staff continuously brought out plates, refilled drinks, and provided special requests to hold off eggs or meat on some dishes. Beautiful presentation and atmosphere. Lovely creme brulee with chocolate “Happy Birthday” for my sister.

We went for a couples datenight and order a few things from the menu. The food here are not bad at all. The view is great.

Celebrated International Women’ s Day! With one of my dearest friends. Sat at the bar with great views of the water! The Brunch was so reasonable, with an Aperol Spritz? Caprese Egg Benedict, Brazilian chicken wings, amazing meatball and pierogis! Came with focaccia bread and home fries. Bottomless? Such a deal! And supporting great women and Girls Inc.
Perfect.

Will not return. I have tried dinner and brunch and was not happy with food or service. At brunch my egg Benedict was cold, and my egg was overcooked, our waitress only checked on us two times and left every single dirty plate on our table to the point which we were stacking plates and could barely fit. Had to get up and ask the bartender for a spoon.

We had a 6:30 PM reservation and were seated immediately, but then waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food due to extremely poor planning by the restaurant.

We were informed that a 30-person private party was being served upstairs, and the kitchen had no concurrent process in place to manage both the party and the main dining room. As a result, the rest of the restaurant was essentially put on hold until the large party was completed. That is unacceptable for a restaurant operating at this price point.

To make matters worse, we were seated directly next to the kitchen, where a staff member was yelling orders continuously because the kitchen was so far behind. This completely ruined our dining experience and made conversation impossible.

Our server was kind and professional, and we fully tipped her, as this was clearly not her fault. However, management took no accountability—there was no apology, no explanation, and no attempt at compensation despite the excessive wait and disruption.

The food, once it finally arrived, was marginal at best for the price, and certainly not worth the experience.

We will not be returning, and we will be sharing this experience with friends and family. Disappointing experience overall.

Beautiful views over to Salem from this huge restaurant. We were so excited being seated and reading the menu. Everything sounded really good! We got a California roll, a tempura shrimp roll, shrimp ceviche (my favorite item we chose), and crab cakes. Each item was plated beautifully. But not much flavor to anything. Cali roll had “crab stick” which kinda ruins it for me. Skip the bread – it wasn’t good at all. Slooooow service, even though there were only a handful of ppl dining. Expensive drinks. I really wanted to love this place, but it just fell short. I may go back to try it again.

Where do I begin! Just an amazing place! There are real chefs in the kitchen ! I have played music for over 50 years and have been in the finest hotels in New England and this place tops them all with the best food, both in the pub and the functions, I gain nothing from my reviews and do honest reviews I have over 150 thousand yes thousand views annually to my reviews, I had lunch in the pub first and the the ceviche was amazing absolutely the freshest I’ve had , later in the evening the function I was at upstairs , the steak tips amazing, the Chicken Marsala so flavorful , perfect food temps another great meal , the north shores hidden gem , and yes the most amazing staff also and beautiful spaces !

The restaurant is in a beautiful location overlooking the water. The interior has very nice small decorative details with an aquatic theme. The parking lot is small and there’s another parking lot under the bridge. The staff are great and accommodating.

The crispy salmon Maki has a satisfying crunch with a flavorful spicy mayo. The fried fish sandwich came with a huge piece of fish with a healthy amount of toppings. The fries itself are amazing with great seasoning and cooked very well. Overall a great experience.

I booked the 3rd floor of Mission Boathouse for a 150-person event for The Cabot Theater member community. Priscilla and her whole team were a dream to work with. They were organized, helpful, and communicative about options within our budget. The day of the event everyone was kind and a pro—the room looked great and they were willing to adapt the set up to meet our purposes. The food came out on time and was highly complimented. Little details like colored napkins and the use of budvases w/o an overcharge mean a lot when putting an event together. Plus the drinks tasted and looked awesome! What more can you ask for. THANK YOU!
