The brisket sandwich was so good. The meat was done, but not dry, like a lot of brisket. The service was amazing. The lady they had at the front door could not have been friendlier. And their mission, to help vets, is honorable. All in all, a great experience, and we’ll be back.

Didn’t really like the meat, the sauces are delicious. The brisket tasted like pot roast. Not sure how happens but I wasn’t really satisfied. The bark has a nice flavor to it. Good smoke ring. The KC and Smokey mountain BBQ sauces were the best.

Unfortunately this isn’t BBQ. When I think of BBQ it should be cooked over wood or coals appropriate for expectations of bbq. Its just baked and seasoned meat with seasoning. I had the ribs and hoped for yummy, but no. The presentation was good and was tender but. No taste.

The pulled pork, ribs, and brisket were absolutely incredible—tender and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. They offer a variety of sauces, which you can use as much as you’d like. The service was phenomenal; the staff was incredibly kind and patient with our large group of 20 people. Whether you live in this city, are visiting, or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by Mission BBQ. You won’t regret it! Excellent teamwork—kudos to the manager and the team for a job well done!

Great staff! I worked at mission bbq in Camp Hill, PA years ago and was on a trip out west and decided to stop at your White Oaks Mall location. I was very pleased at the service and friendly staff. I believe we were greeted by Jake as we walked in the door a kid named Xavier took our order. They were both cordial and very friendly. Thank you mission bbq for continuing with customer first and customer focused atmosphere!

Nice place, but their food gave me food poisoning. I am now unsure if they’re cooking their eat to a safe temp. The food is also a bit over priced for the portions you receive.

The meal was amazing! After a long day of shopping, we were famished and craving barbecue. We both ordered the pulled chicken with the XXL option, which includes two sides and a drink. I chose mac n cheese and fries, while my husband went for potato salad and coleslaw. The meal also came with a piece of cornbread, and we found butter and ketchup at the drink station. I sneaked a bite of my husband’s potato salad while he was getting my fries, and he didn’t even notice! The portion of meat was generous, which worked out well for both of us since I eat less and my husband eats more. They also had a variety of drinks and 6 different sauces to try, along with vinegar on the table. The restaurant’s walls are covered in veteran patches, making me curious if it’s actually owned by a veteran. This place wasn’t even on my bucket list but I am glad we tried it!

Best barbecue in Springfield, Illinois. Even though it’s a chain restaurant, it is a homer. The patriotic atmosphere and the great food plus clean tables and fast service. Conveniently located near the mall and all west side amenities.
