Overall a good place to eat. The brisket sandwich was very tasty, nice and juicy, and super tender which was fantastic to eat in a sandwich. I’d like it a little firmer if not in a sandwich, but I’ll have to come back and try it straight. I Also really like the mac and cheese. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and decorations I was not a fan of the baked beans for the coleslaw, but I’m pretty particular with both of those. I definitely like to come back and try a few other options.

Visited today for a late lunch. You order from the counter than carry your tray of food to a table or booth. There is some outside dining area as well. I ordered shredded chicken. Side dishes are extra. I got coleslaw and French fries. Portions are enough for two meals. There are six barbecue sauces to choose from. They are in bottles on the tables. French fries were hot and delicious. Coleslaw was tasty. The chicken was good but luke warm. The cornbread was either stale or a bit too dry. There are pork choices and sandwiches available too. Worth a visit. I have been here many times.

Was having a challenging day and really needed to eat because I skipped lunch rushing to get work done… Decided to try your restaurant for the first time. Learned from your site you had NC style BBQ. Being a native of Eastern NC and learning about cooking pork before I learned how to ride a bike, I was interested in the sandwich. I will say it was a solid effort but NC style… no! LOL I can say it was tasty and I will be a long term customer. Not only for the good food but because of a small thing that is big in my opinion, Alex made me feel welcomed and appreciated learning about my services. Military, LEO, Volunteer Fireman, EMT and rescue diver. He was very pleasant, professional and not just a salesman. Having the interaction I did today with him strengthened my belief there are still genuine people in the service industry! Hats off and much respect to the Northville, MI store and to whomever hired him!

There’s a wide range of protein choices to choose from and I’ve had them all – ribs, turkey, chicken, sausage but no salmon yet. Ribs are my fav.
The sides are mostly legs and good too.
I enjoyed bottmless lemonade refills. I recommend the St. Loius Red
Prices are great too.
Portion is also large so I took home my cornbread

Wasn’t greeted upon entry. Young lady just stared awkwardly didn’t make me feel welcome at all. Then when I went to order , the cook had made a remark about what I was ordering so I looked her direction and she rudely told me she wasn’t talking to me. At this point should have left but drove 20 minutes and was hungry so stayed. After about 10 minutes I finally got my food and the disappointment continued. Brisket and turkey was dry as hell and the “burnt ends” were not even that (pulled beef w/ bbq sauce?). DONT EAT HERE IF YOU VALUE SERVICE AND GOOD FOOD!

We stopped in today; my husband has been numerous times but it was my first time! The smoked burger was excellent, easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Loved all of the decor and photos of veterans, made me smile. Excited to come back next time we are out this way.
