Proudly Serving Those Who Serve, we honor and give back to our Uniformed American Heroes—Police, Fire, First Responders and our Military. Mission BBQ in Lakeland was what we decided on for lunch today. We had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and the brisket (not pictured).

Food is amazing as always! The staff however goes above and beyond! Offered to feed our baby while we ate, I wish we would have got her name before we left.

Staff was friendly and nicely put together. The food is what was lacking here. I got a yard bird and turkey. I tried 2 of there sauce, not good. I tried 2 others, but congealed and watery. The meat has no flavor, none. The meat was dry. The seasoning they use has no flavor. It has heat, but no flavor. Green beans were good, just lot of juices in it. The only thing I think they did good with was the sweet tea. I would only come back to try their burger, but nothing else. Very disheartening.

Mission BBQ is great! The staff is friendly and attentive, and they make you feel welcomed.
Now, as a military family, and new military mom, this eating experience definitely provided a different experience due to the noon playing of the Star Spangled Banner. As I struggled to hear the words, while all the staff and customers stopped to honor those who currently serve or those having served in the past, I remembered my children who fight for this country. Ms. Honi, the General Manager, and fellow military mom, took the time to come speak with me and tell me of her experience with her 4 children who serve in the military. She encouraged me, and let me know at Missions, I could come anytime, because people here understand what I am battling. As I fought my tears, she came over again to my table to give me a hug, and Iappreciated the hug of encouragement!
I originally came for a meal, and I left with so much more! In addition, I am grateful for Ms. YaYa; she continued to check on each of the customers, and she stopped by to check in on us several times.
With all that said, We ordered 5 babyback ribs, a three meat platter that included fatty brisket, turkey, & pulled chicken. We had a side of potato salad, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, & baked beans. We also ordered the grilled shrimp with side of Alabama white sauce blend. And a half chicken dinner to go.
Also, since my husband is a veteran, he received a homemade strawberry shortcake. The poundcake, which is made in store, wss topped with fresh strawberry topping. It was delicious!
Overall, our rating was a 10/10, and they have the best brisket in town! We will definitely be back again, and thank you again Mission BBQ!

This place does really well for a chain. The service is outstanding. The fact that they do so much for the community is awesome. I love that they have all the photos of vets and first responders on the walls. The whole place is a great vibe, and a nice place to have a good lunch.

Makayla is the best server you’re gonna get. Apple cobbler is to die for. Smoked hamburger is amazing. Honestly my favorite bbq place ever. Stopped by after a long day at the parks. First time at this location. No line and fast service. Very accomondating with some food restrictions. 6 or 7 options for kids meals all under $10. Food was awesome. Smokey Mountain sauce remains our favorite. Kids loved the condiment snackle box. Fantastic service from Erin, Esperanza and YaYa. Thank you all for what you do.

We live about 1 hour from Lakeland. We were going to go to another restaurant to eat, but the wait was over an hour. We decided to go to Mission BBQ since we haven’t been here in over a year. So glad we did. The BBQ was outstanding. I did not like one of my sides and they had no problem switching it for me. The Blueberry cobbler was amazing. And with me being a Veteran and a retired Deputy Sheriff, I love the way they honor us.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Mission BBQ! From the moment we walked in, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of.
Erin was incredibly helpful — she took the time to come out and walk us through the entire menu, making sure we understood all of our options. Her patience and knowledge made it easy for us to make the perfect choice for our first visit, with zero confusion.
Cole was also fantastic. He communicated clearly, made thoughtful recommendations, and created a comfortable atmosphere for us. His friendly and accommodating nature truly stood out.
Jake was absolutely amazing — he made us feel very at home and comfortable, right alongside Cole. Their teamwork and welcoming presence really made the experience memorable.
We were also assisted by Raelynn, who was very polite, quick to help, and carried herself with a professional and kind attitude. She made sure everything we needed was handled promptly.
The service as a whole was top-notch, and the food? Absolutely delicious. You can tell the staff takes pride in what they do, and it shows in both the quality of the food and the customer care.

I had an outstanding experience at Mission BBQ in Lakeland. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. The brisket was tender and full of flavor, the barbecue pork was perfectly seasoned, the ribs were fall-off-the-bone good, and the beans and apple cobbler were incredible. You can really tell they put care into everything they serve.
