We had the beef brisket, wet, chicken, greens and cheese mashed potato. The brisket was vet good, but the chicken was a little dry. The greens were also very good. The mashed potato was meh. Of you like country music and picnic table-like seating, you’d love this place. The atmosphere was causal and inviting. It’s basically self serve. You order at the counter, and they call your name when you’re food is ready. Ours took no longer than 2 minutes from time of order to ready for pickup. The staff were nice and helpful.

Wow!!! The food here is simply amazing! I had the brisket, jalapeño sausage, pulled pork, mac and cheese, fries, coleslaw, and cornbread. The brisket, sausage, and mac and cheese really stood out, but everything was excellent overall.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, which makes the experience even better.
A must visit if you’re in the area!

I chose this place based off of their solid reviews and boy am I glad I followed the herd! Great atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant and an absolutely stellar staff who helped this first timer through many choices and even offered some samples to make sure I got to try many things and then served up absolute slamming piles of food! This was a top-notch experience. I wish I was from here so as I would eat it often!

She was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Mission Barbecue never disappoints. Their beef brisket is absolutely amazing—tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly every time. The desserts are hands-down some of the best, and the sides are always changing, which keeps things exciting, and they always taste really, really good.
What truly sets Mission Barbecue apart, though, is their support for veterans. That’s the most important reason we continue to go there. It’s more than just great food—it’s a place that stands for something meaningful. Highly recommend and proud to support this restaurant.

Our first time going and Alyssa really made our experience. Once I mentioned we were unsure how to order she not only explained the menu she explained every single item in detail. She then checked on us AND brought us a side sample platter to try out. It really was a great experience and the food was honestly the best of that style we’ve had in Riverview. Bonus that it feels like home because of honoring our service members and hometown heroes. But seriously I cannot stress how much Alyssa made our experience. She really is a prime example of above and beyond customer service!

Good value for some super high quality barbecue meats and sides. The pulled pork really melts in your mouth. Jalapeno sausage is killer. Ribs, chicken, cornbread, fries, well, everything is great.

Wedding consultation. We were with Tommy who is so helpful and knowledgeable about the whole process. We got to build/customize a lot of our catering menu for the wedding. They very responsive. The in person consultation was amazing we got to try everything to get an idea of what we liked.
