I want to give 6 stars to make up for the folks that didn’t give 5 stars because they definitely are a 5 star joint. The service was exceptional as was the food. The bonus strawberry shortcake was a delicious surprise.

We were impressed enough to look up info on them and were surprised to find out that it is a chain! The first one opened on 9/11/11, the 10 year anniversary of 9/11. They recognize and honor the military and first responders. We were there before noon and at noon everyone stood for the national anthem.

So if you love barbecue and America, this is definitely the place to eat.
7 stars and 3 thumbs up.

PS. Gus rocks!

Great BBQ! Great staff! Love the Mission! Choose the Harder Right Instead of the Easier Wrong! The sauces were amazing; tried them all-loved them all!!

Food was great. The few slices of brisket I received were a little too fatty for my liking and I couldn’t eat half of it. The sauces are all delicious.

Really friendly people work here, and they’re very polite as well. I’ve mentioned before I’m not a fan of barbecue, especially eating out. I’m fine with backyard burgers and grilling at home. My wife loves barbecue though so I went along for the ride. I was rewarded with a huge smoked burger with cheddar cheese, lettuce & tomato. The fries and slaw I chose as sides were tasty too. My wife had macaroni & cheese which was top shelf, and green beans with bacon. She said her pulled pork was better than City Barbecue, which where we come from are fighting words! I would return to this place anytime as there were several options on the menu that looked appealing even to a non-barbecue person like myself. The six different sauces they offer are situated on each table and they are all really good. I only tried three. The tribute to the military theme on the walls is gratifying and we should all show such respect for those that have sacrificed, protected, and preserved our national freedom.

I’ve been here several times and have always had a great meal. Today I ordered something different – a Smokehouse Cheeseburger. The cheeseburger came with a nice, charred crust, and it was well done – just like I expected. However, it wasn’t dried out, like usually well done comes out. I think I’ll stick to the pulled pork sandwich. As usual the service was outstanding.

This is my third time to eat here. This time I got a chopped beef brisket sandwich fries and a drink and it came to $20. They gave me the sandwich and said the fries would be brought out to me.
The last time I got a Hawaiian steak and some ribs and it was excellent.
I would recommend it depending on what you’re wanting to get the brisket sandwich meal was definitely not worth $20 to me.
The female hostess was very polite and did a great job!!!

This is my 3rd visit to MISSION BBQ & it’s my favorite BBQ place ever anywhere!!! Love the fresh, NEVER-Frozen food, the appreciation of Military, Law Enforcement & Firefighters ♥️ It’s my favorite place to eat of any kind of restaurant because of how much they love & respect our country, military @ LEOs. I love everything about this place. Food is hot fresh BBQ with a detail of different types and sides. The theme of the restaurant is military and first responders. Service was very attentive and the selection of sauces at each table is a nice touch. And if you are lucky enough to be there at noon each day you will be entertained by a nice presentation of the Star Spagle Banner. Highly recommend if you are looking for SC BBQ.

Have your ever heard an eagle cry while stuffing your face with delicious BBQ… Well I hadn’t until today!
If you love BBQ that is so good it will make you want to smack your mama, and decor that emanates the unwavering fervor of the American spirit, then look no further than Mission BBQ. First off, the young man at the front was incredibly kind and helpful, and gave us top tier service and recommendations! Secondly, they have glass bottle drinks in a cooler for you to choose from as you walk in (can it get more American than that?)!!
Once our plates arrived, the only sounds coming from our table was “Mmmm” and “God bless America!”

The brisket was the best, period. Coming in second place was the pulled pork. The pulled pork was tender and very flavorful. It also paired well with the various BBQ sauces. I personally really enjoyed the Smoky Mountain BBQ sauce; however, if that one doesn’t tickle your fancy, they have 6 flavors to choose from. Lastly, the Mac and cheese was to die for!

The fries were good, and so was the cornbread but they weren’t the stars of this meat sweat showdown!

Overall, I would give Mission BBQ a 10/10! Definitely don’t miss this gem on your next visit!
