I went tonight and got the ribs baby bags.
They were what I expected for the $27 for 10 bones I cook ribs all the time I’m going to raising Kansas City one thing that we didn’t do steam or meat. Ribs bone should not be pulling out of the meat. The ribs were all in one rack. They didn’t even cut them because they were been sitting in somewhere all day.. so once again the ribs were not cut. They were in a full rack. I had to eat them with my fingers. They were not even flavor. Profile was low a little smoke no bark..
I got the beans good they said there’s brisket in there, but there was no brisket on mine, but they did taste good
The collard greens I also got they were just average little bit of seasoning and I’ve never had collard greens with tomatoes in them. We are in the south how you make collard greens not sure who is in charge over there but change the recipe.
I ended up paying $48 for baby back ribs, collard greens and baked beans and they threw a piece of cornbread and I got all the sauces. Sauces were just from the bottle..
I did try the mustard sauce, which I did like. I added it to the greens, which made the greens have a little more flavor..
Here at Lynchburg still looking for some good barbecue couldn’t find anything else open so I tried them, but don’t steam your ribs. The bone should not pull straight out of the meat.
Rib should have a little bit of bite and they should be cut to order 10 bones should’ve been cut not just for rack.
Will I recommend them? No will I be back? No, I’ve tried several times. They were only open here in town new in town..
I am a chef so I know how to cook ribs
Oh yeah, I had to eat my ribs with a fork just wrong and the cornbread was decent. Butter was good too.

I absolutely love Mission BBQ and my girls there working the front on 1/21/26, the treated me like family (and do every visit) and had me cracking up – they make a dynamic duo. The food is always phenomenal and I love that mission supports branches of public services and military that my husband, myself, and many family have had pleasure of serving. Shout out to my two girls in front!!!!! Your girl Kristy, I need y’all to be my best friends lol.

First visit to the restaurant. Love the patriotic atmosphere. I arrived right at 12:00 when the staff and patrons stop and honor America with the National Anthem. Decorations were Military / first responder. I had the brisket and ribs. Brisket was moist and flavorful. They have 6 different sauces. Staff was very attentive.

I thought it was just a coincidence the first time I ate at this location and my food wasn’t very good. I went back yesterday and ordered the same items. Once again the quality wasn’t up to par. The pulled pork was dry and the noodles in the mac n cheese were way over cooked and mushy, not what I was expecting.

Very good BBQ food!! So many sauce options. The environment is cozy. Clean but laid back. The employees are very nice and helpful. The neat is tender and very tasty. It’s a bit pricey but worth the price. I’d recommend checking this place out if you enjoy BBQ food.

Over the years I’ve been such a food enthusiast but let me tell you guys this mission barbecue has some of the best brisket I’ve ever tasted in my life not to mention the banana pudding that was offered to me for being my first time. The staff…. Beyond 5 star and the food was just amazing. Fresh fries and hot brisket! The ample choice of different sauces from different regions of the USA made the experience just that much better. So if you’re in the mood for some good let me correct myself exceptional barbecue, this is the place to go. Great job

I eat here on every business trip but tonight was unique. When I walked in the side door it looked odd to hear music and see a buffet of food far different from the menu. Yes, I inadvertently crashed their Christmas party, but instead of telling me, “Sorry we’re closed”, they loaded up a to-go container. Mission BBQ had my loyalty before I stopped tonight, but their team treated me like I was an employee and wished me a Merry Christmas, which deserved this review for customer service that went far beyond expectations.

Great food and atmosphere. Had several personnel come to our group and check on how we were doing. Love playing the National Athem at 1200 every day. Very Patriotic.

Stopped by for a quick bite while in town, first time at Mission BBQ. Great atmosphere, arrived just before 12 noon at which time the music stopped, an announcement was made and everyone stood for the National Anthem. This was impressive to see, even the staff stopped working.

Very good customer service, they stopped by to check how the food was and took my tray after I was finished eating. I loved that there were 6 different sauces to choose from depending on your taste. Noticed a lot of active service members and veterans that stopped by to eat lunch. Will definitely return!! ♥️♥️♥️

Great atmosphere, quick service. Food was okay. I ordered the meat sampler with brisket and short ribs. My sides were collard greens and green beans. They have an good selection of sauces right at the table or you can opt for vinegar (also at the table). I chose the Tupelo Honey Heat, which was amazing!

The first bite was heavenly and I was certain I would be writing a five-star review. However, as the meal went on, I noticed how salty the beans, brisket, and green beans were. I think someone got carried away with the salt shaker! It was probably the same person who made the lemonade, which was waaaaaaayyy to sweet and reminiscent of diabetes in a cup. I needed to add 40% water to make it just right.

The texture of the brisket was almost optimal and though slightly overcooked, it was still tasty and moist. The short rib was mostly cooked well with the exception of one section that was overdone to the point it was burnt, dry, and unfit for consumption.

My overall rating is more like 3.7/5. With a few small tweaks and the whole experience would have been 5/5. I would try this place again and hope for more moderation on the salt, time on the grill, and sugar in the lemonade. For now I will attribute this misstep to an overzealous cook and lemonade maker.
