This was my first visit to this ‘newer’ location. I say newer, because I saw when it opened, but just haven’t had the chance to stop in until a few days ago. The place is exactly like all the others I’ve been to between VA – PA. Service is great, friendly, professional, very helpful, and what they have made a business out of – just like all the other locations I’ve visited. The menu is the same as well. I tried their turkey and jalapeño sausage for my two meats, and their cheesy potatoes and beans as sides.

The turkey was moist and had a nice smokey flavor. It tasted great, in fact! It was so much better than the sausage I got. The sausage was cooked great, had a nice smoke, but was bland and tasted almost like a boring ham. It definitely needed a sauce on it, and the staff recommended their mustard sauce, which I thought was really nice. In fact, my favs on this visit were the KC, Mustard, and Nashville Hot Sauce.

I was there during the noon time period where the National Anthem plays and it was great to see all the patrons participate in the Anthem. Of course, the restaurant’s staff participated and that’s GREAT! Mission not only makes chain BBQ great, but they help to keep Making American Great Again too!!

My husband and I had Mission BBQ Fredericksburg cater our wedding in July 2025. They took such great care of us! First off, the consultation was one of the highlights of our entire time wedding planning since my husband and I are big foodies. It was absolutely amazing – they had us try everything on their Black Tie menu!

They were very communicative and flexible throughout the process. The did a great job decorating their tables and the bar at the venue and they brought more than enough food to the wedding. They even packed a separate to-go bag for my husband and I and that fed us for a few days after the wedding – which was so nice!! They even gave us a thank you card.

10/10 highly recommend for catering (& for regular dining, too!).

Friendly service. I actually enjoyed their pulled pork sandwich more than brisket. Mac n cheese was also so yummy. They are a bit on the pricier side for a fast food restaurant; it’s understandable because briskets and pulled pork are hard to make.

Just got this to go. It’s the 3 meat sampler for $21.29+tax. I got double pulled pork and brisket(ask for juicy!) It comes with a small piece of cornbread. I added a small side of green beans for $3.54+tax. Total bill was $27.64. I’m definitely disappointed and it’s why I gave them 2 stars. Here’s why. I went to this EXACT location last month and got the EXACT same order, and I LITERALLY got double the food. I could barely finish it! It was well worth the price. This time, it was not. Food taste was amazing, as usual, just quantity was not. Last time they gave me 4 sauces but only got 2 this time. I’ll update this and possibly change my review if they contact me and make it right.
****UPDATE**** I was contacted by the regional manager, Jon Kendrick, and he agreed that the portions were not correct. Not only did he issue a refund, but he also blessed me with $40 gift cards towards my next visit. I upgraded my review to 5 stars. People make mistakes, we’re human! I highly recommend this place. We ordered take out this past Saturday and not only were the portions on point, the brisket and pulled pork were exceptional. I don’t know what kind of wizardry is going on in their kitchen, but their food is next level!

I didn’t think I would be a fan of Mission BBQ but I have to say it was delicious. The staff was high level customer service and you can tell they proud themselves on it. Very impressive and the food was GREAT!

If you’re craving authentic, no-nonsense barbecue that hits all the right notes, Mission BBQ delivers an experience that’s both comforting and crave worthy. This meal was a knockout from start to finish.

The jalapeño cheddar sausage was perfectly smoked with just the right amount of heat and gooey cheese pockets throughout, bold, flavorful, and undeniably addictive. The pulled chicken was tender, juicy, and seasoned with that smoky depth you can only get from real wood fired cooking. Pair that with golden, hand cut fries, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and you’ve got a plate that satisfies every savory craving. The cornbread? Moist, lightly sweet, and exactly how Southern style cornbread should be. A dollop of ketchup on the side rounded out the fries, but honestly, they could stand on their own.

Mission BBQ isn’t just serving food, they’re serving pride, patriotism, and flavor in every bite. This meal didn’t just fill me up, it made me want to come back for more. 10 out of 10, no question.

We were visiting from out of the area and really enjoyed our meal here. Our party had the brisket (highly recommend the fatty version and they even provided a sample!), pulled pork, mac n cheese, collard greens, and baked beans. Everything was delicious, portions were reasonable for the price and everyone left full. Cozy atmosphere too with vintage and modern photos of military personnel and first responders and related badges. The young woman who took our order was patient and accommodating (it was our first time visiting a Mission BBQ). Absolutely would visit again!

We just picked up a catering order. SO IMPRESSED WITH THE STAFF! Everything about our experience was incredible, the guy up front thoroughly explained all of the bbq sauces, they accommodated allergy restrictions even though we forgot to put it in the notes, they remade our entire order. And it was ready 10 minutes before the quoted time. The food looks incredible, I just can’t get over how accommodating the staff is here, we felt very appreciated and definetly will be back!

Folks, you have to visit Mission BBQ, they have Great food, friendly folks, excellent atmosphere. This month we have family from the LA area. They are used to In-and-Out, Johnny Rockets, and so much more. We lay claim to fame with Mission BBQ. Brought the family to the restaurant, they were not disappointed!
I want to add that after about a dozen more visits, since my original posts that this place is consistent. Consistently Fantastic!
