Great BBQ spot with really good food — the meat is tender, fresh, and they’ve got a nice variety to choose from. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and perfect for a casual meal. Staff were friendly and everything came out fresh.

I recently visited the Mission Barbecue location in Columbia and had such a pleasant experience. The staff were all wonderful, but I would especially like to highlight Ian.
Ian was managing the dining room area and was incredibly hospitable. He made sure everyone was comfortable, checked in regularly, and ensured that we had everything we needed. He took the time to personally check on me, and his warmth and attentiveness truly stood out.
You never know what someone may be going through. After a particularly rough week, that small act of kindness and genuine hospitality made a bigger impact than he probably realized. It really brightened my day.
This Columbia location provides excellent customer service, and Ian’s professionalism and kindness made my visit memorable. I truly appreciate the experience and will definitely be returning.

Rolled up to this location on a roadtrip at 8:58 PM, two minutes to close. There has been nothing for miles and we were tired of fast road food. Understandably, few places are ready to take an order that late- I apologized ahead of time and asked if there was anything left from the day that was easy. Charles & co were so incredibly kind, gave us extra portions of BBQ in our order, and even added some cheesecakes. The food was absolutely incredible and it made our night. Incredibly grateful to y’alll!

My wife and I were eager to try this location based on the reviews that I’ve read. The establishment is definitely clean and tidy. I always look for this first when I visit a new restaurant. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. The staff here is Very professional and inviting. You won’t experience any type of inner city attitude from the kids who work here. The taste of the food is subjective so I try not to dwell on that. Everyone has their own opinion on what barbecue should taste like and I am no different. My wife gave it a 6 out of 10, I will give it an 8.5 out of 10. Portion sizes are comparable to market value at this time. What I mean by that is everyone has cut back on the portion sizes so why shouldn’t they. Overall, you will not be disappointed with this location. I like the vibes here.

Had a fantastic dinner with my family 1/2/26 at the Columbia location. The food was amazing as always and Ian was so accommodating and amazingly kind and helpful. He brought our food over and went above and beyond when he figured we were celebrating an occasion there. He was helpful and just an overall caring person. Can’t wait to go back to eat here and hope he’s there again 🙂 what a lovely young man who loves what he does!

Wonderful location and staff is amazing. I want to personally shout out Ian. He has exceptional customer service. It is very refreshing to see a young person give the level of service that he did. I made sure I told him how grateful I was. He made sure all guests that were dining in, were well taken care of. He went the extra mile indeed! My food was also amazing!! 10/10 for this location.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Mission BBQ. Every single person I interacted with was incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive. Shout out to Ebony and Ian. The customer service was truly outstanding—they went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcomed and even made sure I could try an item before buying it.
I can honestly say I’ve never been to a restaurant where the staff was this genuinely caring. I was only in the area for a child’s birthday party, and although I live in Northern Virginia, this location was 100% worth the travel.
I will definitely be coming back, and I’ll be recommending this specific Mission BBQ location to everyone. An unforgettable experience from start to finish!

The food is always delicious and it always arrives super quick. The iced tea is also fantastic and always tastes fresh brewed. You could not find a friendlier staff than the people at Mission Barbecue. Customers are greeted with a welcoming “hello”, and a big smile immediately after they enter the restaurant.
