Had a taste for Barbecue and decided to give this place a try. First off it’s created by veterans which automatically deserves a try. The interior and exterior are also military themed which as naval veteran scores points with me.
Now as for the food I ordered 3 meats, two sides and a drink for $31 and it was enough food for two meals. I ordered brisket fatty which was little to lean for my taste but smoky and moist. The 2 rib, were tender, smoky and full of flavor & jalapeño sausage which was crunchy and okay not my favorite. The sides were MAC & cheese and greens beans with bacon they tasty but I’m pretty sure out of à can. Ok I almost forgot the corn bread. Moist and delicious. Overall it was a very good meal. next time I would just get the brisket and ribs with the baked beans and slaw and forget the drink and maybe come in around $22.

1st Time at Mission! Had the brisket (lean) which was okay (seemed rushed and salty in one spot but okay …especially for a chain). Ordered Mac & Cheese which was very underwhelming and Fresh Cut Fries which was the better offset (fresh, hot, and substantive). There are 2 pics of cornbread which the pic of the 2 edge pieces was what was initally wrapped in foil and cool temperature (not good and rather flavorless) but a young lady, Larissa, walks the dining area check on patrons and I asked if the cornbread is usually room temp or cool which she said most times unless it’s just prepared and hot/warm and she was kind enough to offer a warm piece which is shown in the other pic (center piece was/fresh)- which was much better than the foil wrapped pre-packaged. Sampled the Granny’s Sweet Potato Mash which was good (would recommend). The Caramel Apple Cobbler hits the spot for a sweet tooth! Overall, the service is much better than the bbq taste but if you need a convenient quick-service of BBQ this is an option.

The wonderful staff at the Greenbelt Mission BBQ went above and beyond when I ordered a meal to bring to a family that had just brought home a new baby. The staff weren’t just kind, courteous, and professional, they celebrated this newborn’s birth like they were family. Thank you!!!

This is a good place to get BBQ quickly and relatively inexpensive. The moist brisket was really good and the burnt ends were delicious. Some parts of the brisket were cut thick but the flavor was good. The sides are very good. The Mac and cheese is old fashioned and has a great flavor. The cheesy potatoes were a welcomed surprise. They were creamy and very cheesy. Personally my favorite side. Overall we enjoy this place and would definitely go back.

Really solid BBQ. Not inexpensive, as it will run you 20-30 person (more toward 20), but worth it. Really good brisket (get it moist) and collards. The Mac and cheese was a little dry but good taste. Smelled delish on entering.

I was craving BBQ salmon so I came here. It’s pretty much a step or two above being bbq fast food but it was good enough. I probably won’t go back but I think it’s designed for meat eaters. The salmon was good I just can’t vouch for quality but it did the trick and I didn’t get sick so it was a win for that moment ♀️ The guy taking my order was great though!

I Ordered online. Lady at the registered redirected me to the ladies behind the service counter who stood back having a bit of a chat instead of assisting me. The ribs had a strange flavour of gas. The brisket didnt have the usual Smokey flavour and was bland. First and last time here, I’d rather take the long drive to Rockville coz that restaurant has never disappointed
