Stopped here for a drink while waiting on my flight at a nearby gate. Service was pretty prompt but not very friendly. The bourbon strawberry lemonade was tasty. However, I ordered their “signature Spicy Shirley” for a second round, only to be told they were out of all the “skewer veges” for the drink. Ummm… How can it be a signature drink if you’re out of the components?!

If you’re flying out of Southwest and happen to be near the A12/13 gate, make a stop here, which is adjacent to these gates.

Got the Maryland Omelette (favorite of HOF Raven Jonathan Ogden :)). It says it has jumbo lump crab meat, white cheddar cheese and tomato. It’s also sprinkled well with Old Bay seasoning.

This omelette is big and it’s STUFFED with the crab meat. Definitely one of the best omelette’s I’ve ever had. Pork sausage on the side, and the coffee was good too. Service was excellent. Love this place.

I had a long layover at BWI. I had breakfast at Miss Shirley’s Cafe. My omelet was delicious and cooked perfectly. My husband’s pancakes were a little dry but very tasty. The atmosphere of the airport cafe was comfortable with a good vibe. Our server wasn’t very attentive, but another server stepped in. The presentation of entrees was nice.

I don’t fly Southwest often, but when I do, I’m usually connecting at BWI, and usually I find a good place for food on the Southwest concourses. This place happened to be closest to my arrival gate, so I decided to go here after seeing the pics of the Maryland crab omelette that people have shared here.

Although the food is “airport priced,” it definitely didn’t disappoint!

Stopped by for breakfast at Miss Shirley’s which is located across from Gate A12 at BWI. I had the Challah French Toast and my wife had the Fresh Garden Omelet and it was exactly what we needed to start our travel day. The food was excellent and the service was awesome. The atmosphere was nice but keep in mind it is an airport restraunt. I we had a good dining experience here today and it was a good start to our traveel day.

Went on a Monday morning brunch, Get Your Grits On is 3 fried green tomatoes topped with grits and 5 blackened shrimp. It’s a perfect portion for 1 meal. Mimosa is pretty good, and the hummus and avocado toast. Good service this morning.

Had time for breakfast between flights at 9:30 on a Tuesday morning and had been wanting to try Miss Shirley’s Cafe for a while. Because both flights were at Gate A12 I finally had my chance!

I was seated fairly promptly by a polite young man – at a dirty table. It took a while before the waitress came by so by the time she did I was ready to order, which seemed to take her by surprise that I wanted to order more than just a beverage right away. I asked for coffee with cream because there was no cream on the table & a Cy Young omelet.

She brought the coffee fairly quickly & 2 little containers of half & half. The food was delivered by someone else and I only saw the waitress again as she passed by while taking care of other customers. I never got a warm-up on my coffee (the menu says complimentary refills are included in the price) or was even asked if the food tasted alright. It sure would have been nice to have more coffee or even a glass of water to wash down the dry, gritty, undercooked grits. The omelet and pimento cheese biscuit were both good, but nothing real special.

For the record, it was pretty slow when I was seated, the restaurant was by no means packed to the point that tables couldn’t have been wiped clean or someone couldn’t have come around with hot coffee for refills. This is an airport, for goodness’ sake, people shouldn’t have to wait and wait and wait to get their check, either.

The food was delicious. I got the breakfast flat bread with a side of bacon. Hubby got the Crabby Omelet. Both were good. His was a little on the cooler side. The server was kind and professional. Although it was busy, Natasha made us feel like a valued customer. Thank you and happy Holidays!

Awful management decision ruined what should have been a nice meal. I was sitting there eating when the manager told a young employee to clean the windows right next to my table. The smell from the cleaning chemicals was so strong and nasty that I couldn’t even finish my food. Who thinks it’s okay to do that while customers are actively eating? It felt like they were trying to get us old folks to leave—and if that was the plan, they nailed it.

The sad part is that the service itself was wonderful. Our waitress was great—attentive, kind, and doing everything right. She deserved better leadership backing her up.

Unfortunately, one manager’s complete lack of common sense overshadowed the good service. Shame on him. I won’t be coming back.

The food was fresh and Destiny S. was patient and attentive. One of my coworker did not like her soup. And Destiny promptly advised her to try another dish.
