The atmosphere of the place was nice and the restaurant was located in a convenient part of town. We shared the fried green tomatoes which were well done but needed salt. I ordered the Gravy Train that came with a biscuit, gravy, grits, collard greens, and fried chicken. While the dish was tasty I found it bland. In this instance more salt probably would have helped as well but they mention Cajun seasoning that is undectetable. I can’t believe the iced tea was $5, that’s ridiculous. The service was efficient but could have been more present and lacked charisma. However, I’ve been to the Miss Shirley’s by Baltimore’s Harbor that was what set my initial expectations really high. The place was okay but I wouldn’t hurry back.

I recently visited Ms. Shirley’s Café in Annapolis and had a delightful experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a cozy breakfast. My daughter tried their upside-down pineapple pancakes, and they were absolutely delicious—fluffy, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I highly recommend.

I recently learned that I have an allergy to hybrid wheat, which makes dining out tricky. A lot of places label things as gluten free, yet the flavor or texture takes a hit. This restaurant was a refreshing change. Our server Megan (pretty sure that was her name!) took the time to help me choose a meal that fit my needs without sacrificing taste or comfort. Everything was hearty, flavorful, and genuinely satisfying. The service felt thoughtful and attentive, and the atmosphere had that cozy, welcoming energy that makes you want to stay a while. I left happy, full, and grateful to have found a place that truly understands dietary needs while still serving great food. ✨ ️

We visited Annapolis for the first time and stayed at a nearby hotel. The bartender at the hotel highly recommended we go to Miss Shirley’s while we were in town. Our second day in town we went there for a delicious breakfast and loved it so much we went back again the next day. The food was great, the servers (Amber and Brittney) were friendly and attentive. If we find ourselves in the city again, we’ll definitely come back.

Quaint place with a convenient location just past the bridge. There is street and affordable garage parking. Lots of seating but I recommend timing right on weekends as it’s popular. The service was attentive and helpful. Clearly defined dishes so no one accidentally ate allergens. The only downside I would say it’s it’s a bit pricey. The shrimp and grits were smaller than expected and cost $27. The drinks were good and just the right amount of strong. The interior is nice but it’s not a super “unique” interior, it’s more about quality of food. The hot honey chicken dishes are a MUST.

I took my two kids here on a Monday at 11. We were seated quickly. Overall the food was really good. My daughter didn’t love her pancakes. But the waffles and crab hash and fried green tomato egg Benedict were delicious.

This place was really good. I got the watermelon cucumber spritz mocktail. It was very delicious and refreshing without being too sweet. My girlfriend got the pineapple margarita mocktail, she thought it was really good but I thought it was too salty. For appetizers we got the donuts and cornbread. The donuts were just okay. Way too sweet and nothing crazy special about them. But the cornbread was amazing. Nice crunch on outside then soft and buttery on the inside. They have a great addition of spice with a flavorful butter. For my entree, I got the peach cobbler cheesecake stuffed French toast. And it was amazing and a very nice large serving for the price. Could’ve been a little hotter though . My girlfriend got the chicken and waffles. She said they were great. Definitely recommend this place

Delicious meal, breakfast really hit the spot. Place was already starting to get busy right when they opened so I knew that we were in for some great food. The boneless fried chicken was some of the best I’ve had in a while. Cooked perfectly, juicy & crispy.

I visited Miss Shirley’s in Annapolis and ordered Eddie’s Two Eggs plus the Pumpkin Bread French Toast. Both were great, and the French toast was a standout. Made with pumpkin bread, which gives it a unique twist you don’t see everywhere. I posted photos of the meal with this review. Easy recommendation for breakfast or brunch in Annapolis.

I’ll start off by saying, I highly recommend this place. The menu is creative and fun. The dishes my husband and I ordered were delicious. He ordered Shirley’s Affair with Oscar; I ordered CY Young omelet. The most flavorful egg white and spinach omelet I’ve ever had! The service was pretty good. Our server made good recommendations and guided us through the menu.

A little on the pricey side for me but then everything is these days.

Good location in Annapolis. Easy to locate and park. The restaurant and restroom were clean. The food didn’t take too long to arrive from the time we ordered.
There are several locations so stop by one. You won’t be sorry.
