I really enjoyed my lunch at Miss Sakura, a lovely family-owned restaurant. I was served by their son, Danny—he’s only 15 years old, but he’s already doing an excellent job: attentive, polite, and confident.
The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and truly authentic with a comforting, homey Japanese feel. What stood out most was how the family continually checked in to make sure everything was perfect—you genuinely feel cared for here.
The space is small, but that only adds to the charm. You’re never overlooked, and the service feels personal and warm.
Great food, thoughtful presentation, and heartfelt hospitality. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Long Island. ✨

Love this spot. Been coming here for 5 or so years. I always get the B platter which is around $60. Great sushi in my opinion, couldn’t go wrong with it, great service, and just very enjoyable lil spot. Better than any chain restaurant sushi around the area

I had a wonderful experience there with my wife. Very attentive and kind staff. Tasty sushi, mushroom soup, salad, and fried rice in a cozy environment. I felt very comfortable and cared for. We were consistently asked if we need anything and how our food was. It was very good, and I plan to stop by again soon. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants a good family-feeling place. Five stars.

First time ordering from here and last time ordering from here. I placed a simple order 1 order of pan fried pork gyoza and one spicy tuna roll with avocado inside with crunchies on top. I received steamed pork gyoza. I received a spicy tuna roll with avocado inside but no crunchies on top or on the side.
When I called the restaurant to tell them they messed up my order I was asked if I could come back. I was told they would give me crunchies and make pan fried gyoza. I said okay. As I was walking out the door the restaurant called me. I was told after looking into this and speaking to the chef, I was informed the gyoza was pan fried. The first picture is from their menu. The second picture is what I received. Do they look pan fried to you? First impressions are so important!! They lost what potentially could have been a great customer.
