I visited this gem today. Cole was very sweet and patient because I wasn’t sure what I wanted. I ended up getting the catfish and shrimp. She offered me a drink on the house while I waited. The restaurant gave nostalgic vibes like back in the day when we went to grandmas house and I loved it. Food was good and hot, definitely a must see

The sweet potatoes were done right. It was a perfect blend of sweet. The oxtails were so good and tender. Yassssss ma’am. I enjoyed the music that was playing on the inside. It gave grown folk atmosphere. Ordering was quick, friendly, and accurate.

The staff was extremely pleasant with a quaint but cozy environment. My take away is i pre-tipped and waited over 40 minutes for my meal, the music was extremely loud for a small eatery that could ruin intimate conversation, and lastly some of the food was bland. I did not want to write this because I am a business owner and don’t want to feel like I am tearing someone down, but as business owners we must do better. Overall, I wish the business success and remember that small details matter.

Eating here for the first time. Enjoyed everything we had. The collard greens were some of the tastiest. Fried catfish was moist and delicious. Pretty much all the sides we had were yummy and seasoned well. Service was with a smile and efficient. Even had dessert, butter cream cake, yummy . This place is cute, just clean and comfortable. Dine-in or take out. Bonus, nice chill music in the background.

The portions here are very small for the price. I was also disappointed that they didn’t offer any grilled options (no grilled fish, shrimp, etc.). When I walked in, the music was extremely loud, which made it hard to enjoy the atmosphere. Lastly, the fried rice didn’t taste or look like traditional fried rice.
