The food was exquisite. I had the fried thighs and French toast. Unique and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere and vibe is amazing. Tahj, our waitress was bubbly, efficient, responsive, and gave amazing service. Peach and mango mimosas were like that! The pineapple upside down cake was warmed for me. The wonderfully friendly owners were on-site. Got a chance to tell them what an amazing experience it was. If you want to support a well-deserved black-owned eatery, you will not be disappointed.

I went to the opening a couple of weeks ago and have been back multiple times for baked goods. The vanilla and lemon cakes are awesome…fresh, tasty, and creamy icing. The brownies are perfectly chocolate, slightly crispy on the outside and chewy inside. Cookies and cupcakes are wonderful too. Today, I was able to stop for lunch and it did not disappoint. The salmon bites were lovely, tender and tasty and it came with a delicious aioli sauce. I couldn’t resist ordering Mac n cheese and I had liver and gravy that came with rice and collards. I removed the onions as I don’t normally eat them, but I loved everything else. All items are freshly made and presented nicely without being fancy…this is good, home cooking done by people who care about providing great food, desserts, and a wonderful atmosphere. I had to bring home half of everything and I added a slice of cake to go as well. The service is excellent! Everyone is nice and friendly and they greet everyone who walks in. Next up, the bar area.

We had a great experience here at Miss Lady’s. The food was absolutely delicious I had the hot hunni chicken sandwich and strawberry lemon cake. Both were scrumptious. Our waitress was the sweetest and the owners were very friendly. Definitely returning for more.

Finally visited this establishment this evening after hearing so much abt it and I’m happy I did … I have to say not only was my food amazing my service was top tier … Amber was very attentive and friendly… I ordered the Shrimp and Grits and my daughter had the Catfish , yams and Broccoli.. her food was good as well …The cafe has a welcoming ambiance . I will definitely be back

This was my first time here but NOT my last! The staff was awesome from welcoming you as you walk in the door to making sure our table was okay during our visit. The food was amazing and well priced, and portioned. The ombiance was great as well. We shared the Brussel sprouts as an appetizer, babiiii they were banging and the catfish and grits with shrimp was right up there with the Brussel sprouts. We were truly satisfied!!

Visited Miss Lady’s today and ordered the lamb chops and shrimp & grits … they were AMAZING. Very flavorful and good portions. Our waitress was very nice and provided good service. My only concern was the wait time … dined in and the place wasn’t packed but their wait was a little extensive for me.
I also tried the baked goods a couple days before … lemon sweet bread, chocolate cupcake, vanilla cupcake, and red velet cupcake. The desserts were too dry for my taste and the red velet tasted very chocolaty. Will pass on the desserts next time.
I’m sure their still working out the kinks so I will give myself ample time next visit, considering the wait. But I will definitely be back for the food!!!

Just had breakfast, (picture below) it was hot & fresh. Flavor on point & you get a lot of food. & it was very clean. Would definitely come back. Music wasn’t too loud & it was a good mix. Tahjene was the waitress & she was super nice. Happy to support any black owned business in Maryland. The vibe was perfect.

Decided to try out the bakery cafe down from my house. I went close to closing so the establishment was winding down, but unlike many establishments they welcomed me inside without any incident or burden. The aesthetic gives modern DC brunch with a touch of southern modesty. The menu is reasonably priced and changes weekly which is perfect not to be one of those one trick pony venues.
I ordered the lamb chops and my honest review is that they were seasoned perfectly. I do prefer my lambs cooked to a proper medium as the meat becomes a little gamey (if that’s not your thing). Also the selection of the chop (look wise) is as important as the taste.
I had a chance to speak with the owner and get a summarized history of the establishment and it’s an inspiration to any future business owner and CHANGE MAKER.
I must go back and order more items and have a drink at the full sized bar. Come and join.

Listen LINDA!!! This Black-Owned Establishment, is a WHOLE VIBE!! It was HBCU/D9 night!!! Amazing food! THE DRINKS WAS TOUGH!! I had a lobster grilled cheese sandwich. It was AMAZING!! I also tasted my friends food and every-time I come back I am getting what they had !!

This is a Beautiful Black owned business! I am visiting from Philly and decided to stop in for breakfast. The owners are down to earth & friendly. The atmosphere is welcoming and decorated beautifully. The food was delicious! If you go, you have to try the Pancakes! I definitely will be visiting again soon. Oh and they have games to play while you wait for your food.
