Came to Mis G’s recommended by a friend. The lady and the man that were working were very kind! I was homesick, grew up in Costa Mesa, CA and while the food was good and reminded me of home but I couldn’t get over the prices. One taco was $4. And 1 burrito was $15. Back in Ca the price of one taco is $1! And a burrito no more than $9-10.

Loved my experience here, very secluded which I enjoy. It was a bit chilly in the mini dining area but they provided a nice heater for us to have while eating our delicious food. Would come again !!

I have been going here since I was a kid. Me and my mom used to get meals here on our way to jobs the entire time I was growing up and Miss G was the absolute sweetest woman, with the best food! I went there yesterday and their food was just as lovely with her family cooking, always a great experience, and the best tortas and empandas around. Miss G’s was the absolute best thing in and around rossville with the best people and will be greatly missed, but glad to get to go one more time!

Kinda pricey, and the dining area is very plain. The empanadas are very good, but the tacos are pretty small. One good thing, the guacamole is handmade and delicious. If your palate for Mexican food is traditional American style, you probably will not enjoy their food. It is authentic in the fact it’s not heavily seasoned. We were glad we were able to try this, but not pur cup of tea.

I ordered an Al Pastor burrito, the sign said $13.80, however the price was changed to $15.
It came with a small burrito, about 7″ long, some rice and refried black beans.
Don’t expect it to be like the food out west, my burrito had cheese and meat but no beans, crema, or pico de gallo.
It’s okay, good to punch a craving, but it tasted more like Chorizo than Al Pastor.
Maybe the tamales are better here than the burritos?

Authentic Mexican food! Their empanadas are heavenly. A Fiesta in my mouth!!! $8.50 for two right now. Taco’s and Tamales are about $2.50 a piece. Tamales run out quickly because they are made fresh in house daily, and absolutely delicious. My favorite are the jalapeño and queso ones. So delicious! You have to try them, but get there early!
