Food is pretty good, but service at the truck on Tamiami in Sarasota was horrible. I called in an order for 2 beef empanadas, and received one cheese and one beef. I drove back and asked if she could exchange the cheese for another beef bc that wasn’t what I ordered. After trying to tell me that she can’t help me bc I already bit into it, she took my box of food, removed the cheese one and replaced it with what I thought was beef. I got back to work and took a bite of the new one and it was another cheese! So I went back for a 3rd time explaining that it was another cheese and she gave me a hard time saying she is losing too much money by giving me more. I told her that I didn’t order a cheese, so i dont want to pay for something that I didn’t order and that it wasn’t my fault. She couldn’t speak a word of English, so we went back and forth translating on our phones.
At the end, i didn’t get another beef…she didn’t have any that weren’t out of the freezer, so she gave me a chicken one instead and said “no mas!”
All the empanadas that were not in the freezer, were pre fried, so the ones i got were not hot or crispy. I was very disappointed, as the last time i went, the food was fresh and hot and delicious – which is the reason i went back today.
Anyway, her attitude was completely not necessary. I will definitely not be going back and she’s lucky I dont report her.

The food is good but waiting 1 hour and 20 minutes for an empanada is not worth it. It wasn’t even packed and the order was 3 empanadas. And there’s no bathroom which is absurd. La comida si es bueno pero no vale la pena esperar 1hr y 20 minutos. Y no tiene baño tampoco.

We had an excellent experience at this food truck. We tried the fish empanadas, cheese and potato pastries, and enjoyed Malta Polar and Nestea. The food was ready in just 12 minutes, which shows that it’s freshly made to order—something we really appreciated.
The service was outstanding. The young woman who attended us was very kind and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Despite being a food truck (and understandably not having a restroom), the place was very clean and well-lit, showing great attention to detail.
Overall, we loved our visit and definitely plan to return. Highly recommended!

Miss empanadas y mad is a topical Venezuelan food truck located in Bradenton. Serving typical Venezuelan dishes and they are wonderfully good. However, it took them more than a hour to prepare 3 empanadas and 2 other things. They place was too full during memorial weekend but they need to something better to serve and prepare food faster.
