We discovered this place while shopping at safeway and tried their pork tonkatsu. It was fresh and quick so we decided to try their ramen. It was really flavorful. The stir fry soba was also delicious. Need to say, I will be back with my friends.

I like the fusion of Japanese and Korean food and the presentation of the food in a tray is very neat. I especially enjoyed the ramen, it was very flavorful and the spicy pork katsu also was pretty good. The waiters are friendly and pleasant. You should definitely try this restaurant if you are looking for Japanese and Korean food, it has both in one!

Honestly the portion of the Katsu was small compared to Jang Won, but looking at this place generally, it’s probably a pretty regular sized portion lol. They have katsu and ramen combos for a great price. The ramen was alright – pretty simple even with the spicy version. I finished my whole combo faster than my partner and I’m usually the slow one (I think I was extra hungry since we went straight here after work). There was one man serving all the tables in front. He was so nice and friendly to every person who came in. He made sure to check in with us when he could. They also gave us a free yakult/yogurt drink for each person at the table when we asked for the check. Great place to go to also for the cold weather.

I recently had lunch at a Korean-Japanese restaurant in Annandale specializing in Japanese ramen and meat cutlets. The lunch combo included ramen, chawanmushi, a cutlet, and side dishes such as pickled radish, kimchi, and Tonkatsu sauce. The ramen had a simple flavor, and the chawanmushi was basic without much flavor, as it was just a steamed egg. The Tonkatsu was of good quality, soft and juicy inside and crunchy outside. For dessert, they offered a complementary Yakult. Overall, there was nothing extraordinary about the food, service, and atmosphere.

Delightful little place in Virginia for a delicious tonkatsu. Service is quick and friendly. The small udon that comes in a combo menu goes really well with the tonkatsu. Overall, it was an awesome experience, and I would definitely come back.

We got the pork (i think) cheesy katsu. It was absolutely delicious and well worth what we paid. The side bits were also delicious and really complement the katsu itself. Really nice guy (owner?) served us–I’d definitely come back again!
The only slight downside I had was not service or food related, but the lighting in this place was really…depressing?? It was a cold office overhead light feeling, I think they’d benefit from warmer bulbs.

Came here Saturday night for dinner—surprisingly it was pretty empty so got a table right away. The Katsu is good here—loved the Pork Katsu!!! The Chicken Katsu was good too, but I enjoyed the pork one better. The portion is huge and you get some small sides too (egg soup, soup, kimchi, etc.). Tried the Bulgogi Rice—wasn’t a huge fan, the bulgogi wasn’t as flavored as I preferred, and it was cut into extremely tiny pieces which I didn’t prefer either. For take out, I tried the Shrimp Katsu later on—really good too!
Overall, Katsu dishes here are great! Prices are reasonable as well. Will have to come back another time to try the other dishes.
