GO EARLY! Or don’t, I guess. It’s up to you. But don’t complain about waiting in line for two hours because you can’t figure your life out; there’s a McDonald’s around the corner for the children among us.
For the adults, a quick heads up: Park in the “visitor” spots, not the numbered spots. Bring your own adult beverage of choice (you can buy it at the convenience shop next door). Leave the kids behind, if you can. And ask for the Local Roll. It wasn’t on the menu, but it had fresh “catch of the day” fish, and was visually stunning and delightfully delicious.
Miso Phat has the best sushi on Maui (that I could find), and is some of the best sushi I’ve ever had, period. It’s a small shop with only a handful of tables, but the owner/executive chef slices fish and builds rolls right in front of you. You can’t beat that.

Amazing spicy Poké bowl!!! Best that we’ve had In Maui!! Would totally recommend to pick up and take to the beach! Sushi rolls were also amazing. Very tasty had a lot of flavor. Staff was also super helpful and patient would definitely recommend and we will definitely come back!!! Thank you!!!

We had a great experience at the Miso Phat Sushi on December 3rd around 8:15 PM. The staff was super friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in, which made the whole experience even better. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and has a great vibe for dining in.
We tried a few of their Chef Specials, along with the Hamachi Nigiri, the Hamachi Kama, and the TNT Roll. Everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The Hamachi Kama was cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside and tender inside—while the Hamachi Nigiri had that melt-in-your-mouth quality you hope for. The TNT Roll had generous portions and amazing flavor, and the Miso Soup was the perfect warm start to the meal.
For Maui, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. No wonder this spot is famous the food, service, and atmosphere all come together beautifully. We left full, happy, and definitely planning to return.

The BEST nigiri I had on the island! The broiled salmon is also delicious and definitely worth the 20 min wait.
Friendly staff and very clean bathrooms.
The parking lot was small but we found plenty of parking on the street.
They don’t serve alcohol but allow you to BYOB (bring your own booze), and luckily there’s a big liquor store a few door down.

The entrance sign in this strip mall looked terrible. However, that’s easily fixable and the food and service was good to great. Unpretentious but quality service and food. We ordered the miso horny and miso crunchy and asked for jalapeño slices and spicy mayo on the side. Great tasting rolls! Recommend this place for a casual sushi meal.

Miso Phat Sushi Lahaina was recommended to us. It took two attempts, but we got it checked off! First attempt was Thursday night at 7:15pm. An hour and a half wait? We’ll come back tomorrow! Next day we tried 4:30pm. Perfect and seated immediately. Service was prompt and friendly. The special of the day was Marlin. Yes, Marlin! How often do you hear that in LA sushi joints? My CA neighbors need to get over themselves! Seriously! This was delicious, super fresh sushi. Highly recommend Miso Phat Sushi Lahaina. BYO sake and they’ll lend you the cups. Come early or go hungry!

Great atmosphere and customer service, Miguel and Yuri are a super great team. My husband an i really enjoyed having lunch there. Sushi and poke bowls are amazing, highky recommend 10/10. The fresh fish will alway be elite here, we just moved tk Maui and ill say that this is def our new fave spot. Thank you guys for making our experience an awesome one. We will be back soon!!!

Overall a great experience. Waiter was helpful with sharing what rolls were the most popular. My family was happy with all four rolls. I dont recall the names of them but have a video of them. Look how good they look!!
