It was a late Saturday night, and my boyfriend and I were craving a quick, comforting meal. We always drive past Miso, so we finally decided to give it a try — and I’m so glad we did!
From the start, the curb appeal made a great first impression. Inside, the space felt cozy and intimate, perfect for a relaxed dinner. We were seated right away and handed menus. Their drink list offers a nice variety of sake and cocktails, but we opted for water and freshly brewed black sweet tea. As someone who’s picky about iced tea, I was impressed — it was flavorful, lightly sweetened, and perfectly balanced.
My boyfriend started with the miso soup, which had an incredible, savory depth of flavor. For our main dishes, we ordered a Hawai roll along with two Pad Thais — one with chicken and one with tofu. The Hawai roll was easily one of the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had. The tempura shrimp was cooked to perfection, and the combination of coconut flakes, mango, and coconut cream sauce made it both unique and delicious.
The Pad Thai dishes were also great, though they had a bit more spice than I’m used to — not overwhelming, but definitely noticeable. Overall, we were really impressed with Miso. The food, atmosphere, and service all hit the mark, and we’ll absolutely be back!

We discovered this restaurant when visiting Fredericksburg and we are so glad we did! Our server, Caleb, was very helpful with suggestions as the menu is extensive. We thoroughly enjoyed the basil fried rice, the tuna tower and the beef lettuce wraps. All delicious! Now we are excited to go back and try more.

I had a great experience at this sushi spot—not just because of the food (which is fresh and delicious), but because of the kindness of the staff. I accidentally left my personal chopsticks behind during a visit, and when I came back a few days later, they had kept them safe for me. That small gesture meant a lot. Good food, good people. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to.

The food I ordered was great. My wife had me try her food it was bouncing between a 4star and 5 star but it’s her taste so overall it’s a 5 overall from me. Staff was polite and area is clean.

I had lunch here with my brother and sister-in-law. They had the sushi and I had the Pad Thai. The service was excellent; our server was very attentive. The food was good, portions were generous. My SIL’s soup arrived cold. My Pad Thai had a sauce with a flavor that I was not expecting. It wasn’t bad, per se, just different from what I expected. Free parking available. Very clean restrooms.

It’s fresh, it won’t make your tummy hurt and the staff is really spot on most days, much more professional and service oriented than other local places. You can tell management has worked hard over the years to get their crew well organized and running smoothly.
11 years and still my more preferred spot for Asian style cuisine. Prices are better than most in the area and quality of the food is better than more expensive restaurants.
Lastly, the owners are hardest working folks i know, double thumbs up and 5 stars on their work ethic

Atmosphere: cold, dark, nothing stood out in particular.
Service: so-so, had to call the servers down when needed things, not as attentive as expected
Price: for the quality of the food, it was over priced
Food: spicy edamame had an interesting sauce on it and was not spicy at all; sushi were over sauce like smothered in mayonnaise; stir fries we ordered all tasted like soaked in the same sugary sauce; dessert was filled with sugar; spicy tuna tower was not stacked and fish didn’t taste fresh. unagi rice was ok.
Location: off street with limited parking.

I am not sure why this is not a 5 star overall. This is my favorite restaurant in Fredericksburg. The food tastes amazing! I have never had better orange chicken. The sauce is so good! They have great prices and the staff are always friendly and attentive to your needs!!

This is my “go-to” place for Pho soup – always delicious with generous portions. The lunch menus, especially the sushi specials are excellent- very reasonably priced with the sushi handmade to order. The servers are always cheerful and efficient. Give it a try!
