What a find! It was nearly 8 at night driving the country roads with a family of 4 and what do we see but a neon sign with Mexican flag colors! We were super hungry and it was like finding exactly what you wanted in a relatively rural area. The food and environment was amazing and the owners were so nice. Definitely making this stop on our summer travels a tradition.

My mom and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. Not crowded and seated immediately. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food and friendly service. It was fast, hot, and hit the spot! We enjoyed the carne asada, shrimp salad, and the salsa is delicious. You must try the jalapeño Margarita!

This Mexican restaurant was better than most, it was friendly, clean, food was good, but again, it was typical Mexican fair, not a lot to say about it except that my wife ordered some type of chicken burrito and it was huge, it was as big as her head. The help was friendly and funny. We enjoyed being there.

Great little Mexican place with a BIG menu option…. It’s called the Burrito Anaconda. 2.5 feel long and served on an 18″x24″ baking sheet! Great item for a foursome! Atmosphere is nice and service was on point. Stopped in on an out of town excursion. Pleasantly surprised!

Too bad this place is over an hour from home! The food was incredible. The chicken tacos were among the best I’ve ever had. Chips and salsa were excellent as well. Look forward to being in the area again and stopping in for lunch.

Mis Tres Potrillos is located in Parkersburg, IL near West Salem. They’re kind of out in the middle of nowhere.
The food has been great every time that we’ve been there. They have daily specials and happy hour drunk specials too.

We ordered Molcajete dishes. There are three varieties. A seafood, five meat and steak, chicken and shrimp. Loads of food accompanied by sides and tortillas. Off menu, you’ve have to try it!
Update 9/25:
We’ve been here a few times since the new menus. We have found the food to be less in quality and heavier in salt.
Shrimp and meats are very over cooked and extremely chewy.
I will not be returning as a 1st choice…

Absolutely disgusting beyond all comprehension, an atrocious display of talent they have there in Parkersburg, so good it ended up in the trash! I really enjoyed the 3inch piece of boiled gristle along with the boiled vegetables inside the chimichanga I purchased. Never again, I feel like I might die from the 3 bites I took.
