This place is pretty good most of the time. They have mostly homemade everything except I think the sherbets. The milkshakes are pretty amazing (especially the cookies and cream). I really like the tortas 90% of the time but have had a couple experiences where the meat was a bit dry. For the most part this place is pretty good and I will continue coming back.

Love everything they have there but… The owners son is just so rude he’s always touching his hair while getting whatever we ask for ready, he always opens up late no matter what day it is, he just acts like its such an inconvenience to serve other people and always parks in the handicap area. I have no issues with anyone there or their food. I mean the owner is so sweet and funny but her son just needs to learn how to serve people and stop touching his hair while getting my food ready.

Our first visit here and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a locally owned Spanish style ice cream shop. Store was clean and super cute, plenty of seating. Pricing for ice cream was labeled by size on the cups next to the cones. Cost was reasonable. The girl helping us was really nice and eager to help. They offer half dozen small plate options (torta/sandwich, nachos, etc) in addition to homemade ice cream, fruit flavored waters, smoothies, flan, cake slices, popsicles (paletas). We tried just about all the flavors, I had vanilla and chocolate (I think she said it was made with abuelita chocolate ) it was great, really rich. A cool treat for when in town and an awesome local alternative to chain stores. We will be back for sure.

I know it’s Sunday, but is noon really too early to open on time? The young man employee was parked in the handicapped spot. We pulled in at 12:15, walked to the door to find it locked, so we walked back. He sauntered out of his car and said he would be opening in like 10 or 15 minutes. We went elsewhere with our business.

Best ice cream EVER! My favorite is the coconut with chocolate chips, but the raspberry white chocolate truffle is excellent, as well. Do yourself a favor, have a scoop of EACH! Prices are very good, $3.99 for two scoops…resort areas in Michigan charge more than that for a SINGLE scoop. Take home some “popsicles,” which are unlike (and WAAAY better than) any popsicle you have ever tried. Can’t wait to get back to Wauchula for more!
